Vaccination Status Poll

Nope. Also not worried about cirrhosis otherwise I’d cut back on my daily nightcaps. Not worried about diabetes otherwise I’d lose more weight. Not worried about car accidents else I’d drive even more safer. I am worried about my family history of cancer and hypertension which is why I take steps to reduce my risks there.

The first two of those you can’t give to somebody else. Take your own risks all you please.

The third, of course you can, so if you can reasonably drive more safely than you are it would be a real good idea to do so. Ditto covid, so please get vaccinated.

Like I said, when the safety history is measured in years and not months.

I’m happy to say i just got me second jab.

Well, the safety history of covid hasn’t been measured in years, either. But we already know it can cause nasty clotting and immune disorders. This seems like the less risky option to me, personally, as well as to all the people i interact with.

Long-term safety studies will be a good thing.

I’m vaccinated now because I don’t want to kill my 88-year old father, or anyone else.

Managed to get my first shot here in Colorado today (4/16). The state opened eligibility up last week, and had been waitlisted on Moderna, but they had openings today (we’ve been checking every morning) and was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

First Moderna a few days ago, feel just fine and have my second appointment scheduled for 28 days off the first. Such a relief!

Also, the effects the ‘long haulers’ are displaying are scary – the exhaustion and mental fog, in particular. While I’m not typically an early adopter, my concerns about the long-term effects of COVID-19 far outweigh my concerns about the vaccines I received.

Double Pfizer here since March 23rd.

That does take some of the stress out of a job dealing with a couple hundred members of the general public every day. Some, not all.

My friend’s father just got intubated today. It’s not looking good. Another friend’s co-worker died from it two weeks ago. He was age 39.

I can hardly wait for my second shot.

Hubs got his (Pfizer) today, I get mine Wed! Yay!

I’m sorry for your friend and his father. And the coworker.

My happy dance for your Pfizer jabs! :dancer:t3::man_dancing:t2::dancer:t3::man_dancing:t2::dancer:t3:

The wife and I went Friday afternoon to get the first jab. We had no choice as to what vaccine was available. The pincushion party was arranged through my, as China calls it, “work unit” (employer). We got stabbed with the Sinovac vaccine and will be getting the second jab on 14 May 2021. Cost: free.

It’s free everywhere in the US. I don’t think people are paying anywhere.

Is that what most people in China are getting? I’ve been curious about which vaccines are being used where.

Pfizer vaccine, December and January.

That or Sinopharm.

Got the first shot of Pfizer yesterday. No side effects.
