Vaccination Status Poll

16 yr olds, with close to zero chance of getting serious covid are going to bars? Doesn’t sound like a reasonable stance. But people are people.

If Southern California is any guide, and it well might not be, appointments were readily available the same day that the state opened to 16+. Anyone could easily get one that same day with no fuss at all. I think that a lot of the younger folks already got them based on employment or by being line jumpers. Also, there’s lots of supply now. You may find that the demand won’t be all that strong.

Lol, i suppose it’s the 21 year olds who are bar-hopping. But there are teenagers who are doing a lot of undistanced socializing. And he wants those little disease vectors vaccinated without him standing in their way.

It really does drive me a bit crazy though. People who are waiting for everyone else to be vaccinated aren’t functionally different than other vaccine hesitators. Noble reasons are meaningless. Go get it! Aargh!

Sorry.

That’s totally reasonable. In the next few weeks I think that anyone who wants one will easily be able to get one. It’ll be interesting to see what percentage of people in the US get jabbed. I know it’s not anywhere near homogenous across the country but something like 76% of people in the US over the age of 65 have gotten at least one jab so far. That’s encouraging.

As long as people are still fighting for appointments, I think there is some merit to letting others go first. I expect he’ll sign up in a week or two,

Got my first Moderna yesterday (mild swelling and warmth near injection site, slightly achy arm, a bit of fatigue. Tetanus shots are worse and flu shots are MUCH worse). Next dose 5/15, and I’m already bracing for the second-dose side effects being substantially worse.

Second Pfizer five hours ago and my arm hurts and side of my neck is sore ae hell plus I feel dull and slightly crappy. It may be a rough couple of days but totally worth it.

Second dose yesterday afternoon (Pfizer); a little soreness in the shoulder and I feel…Very Vaguely Something this morning. But also happy!

Let’s get 'er done, fellow Americans! (And fellow human beings all around the world!)

1st AZ dose yesterday, feeling somewhat crappy but better than one of my employees that was admitted to the hospital on Monday with Covid.

My wife is scheduled for Saturday.

Got a call on Monday, scheduled Pfizer shot at 1245 today, a couple of hours from right now. Wife is set up for tomorrow.

Got my second Pfizer shot on Monday.

Tuesday was rough. If I didn’t know what was going on, I’d have thought maybe I was coming down with COVID.

The sickest I have felt in quite some time.

Feel much better today, not quite 100%, but getting there.

I felt a little shitty the next morning but I was fine by evening. Overall it was better than after the first one.

I have an appointment for Pfizer or Moderna and was worried about the possibility of cancellation due to vaccine shortage, but that only happened once in Ontario at two specific clinics. Appt is Saturday and it’s still on, so far so good.

Eligible and on five different lists, but no callback yet.

Second shot received this morning. Awaiting consequences. Hoping the consequences include spontaneous appearance of an adult clone who can take over my work so I can sneak in a nap this afternoon.

Same here.

If you’re not hoping for a clone, you’re not committed to the process.

If I got a clone, I’d be unable to live with myself.

That’s a Paul Rudd series on Netflix already.
