Maybe it’s just the mood I’m in, but I found the article below to be extremely amusing. Hope you do, too.
Well, before the “anti-elitist” elitists come in here to brag about hating the New Yorker, I’ll chime in to say that I love the “Shouts & Murmurs” section, even when Steve Martin writes it.
And if you have a copy handy, lissener, check out the weird ad on page 75 for the movie, “Thank You for Smoking.” It consists of 4 panels of ‘Great Moments in Spin’ and in one of the panels we see Dubya and his quote, “I just want you to know that when we talk about war, we’re really talking about peace.” :smack:
