I missed the Video Game Awards on SpikeTV last night. Spiketv.com was no help - they require the flash plugin to see the results, and since I’m at work downloading a plugin is not in the cards.

Best fighting game: Mortal Combat: Deception
Designer of the year: Jason Jones (Halo 2)
Best first person shooter: Halo 2
Best PC game: Half-Life 2
Best graphics: Half-Life 2
Best MMORPG: City of Heros (for some reason World of Warcraft wasn’t nominated)
Best RPG: Fable
Best military game: Call of Duty: Finest Hour
Those are the major ones.
If the show was half as annoying as this summary makes it sound, I’m damn glad I missed it.
