My dad had one of those metal safety razors like the baby is holding. They weighed a ton, and the blades were held inplace by tightening a screw on the handle. “Safety Blades” were only safe once you got them fastened into the razor. And they had to be held very carefully.
So, the ad is a little less cringe worthy than a baby holding a straight razor, but not much.

You don’t see any links (or smilies–or linked smilies) in either of Mr. Rosewater’s posts because there are none; he didn’t include any. As for Dijon Warlock’s problem, the links all show for me in Opera 9.01, Firefox 1.5.0.7, IE 6 and IE 7 RC1–and that’s true whether I’m logged in or logged out. It sounds, at this point, like the missing links (heh) might be a local browser issue for Dijon Warlock.
Dijon Warlock, you might try switching browsers to see if the problem persists; if it doesn’t, then your current browser is, for some reason, the problem.
