I get to say “I told you so!” to many around here.
I knew when she dropped out she would be shooting for VP.
I was stationed at Fort Knox for about 6 months. That counts.
I didn’t notice that. The other name on the ballot was Terrisa Bukovinac. No idea how she got on. I didn’t look that closely at the ballot since I wasn’t planning on voting. My wife was scheduled to be in the hospital and there were no contested primaries, even at the local level.
She’s not shooting for VP. She is walking the tightrope all non-MAGA Republicans have to if they are looking at 2028. You can’t be against Trump or you will get Christied right out of the party. You can’t be too pro-Trump or you will carry all of the baggage that only he can pull off carrying. She will probably talk at the convention and say all the reasons why you shouldn’t vote for Biden and be very vague about why you should vote for Trump. Then she will lay low for three years and run again. No one can win the nomination by alienating the hardcore base of the party, regardless of party.
