Vows of Luuuuuuvvv...

I have a dilemma. The pastor who is doing my wedding has a really sappy flowery ceremony that he normally uses. He has given me the lberty to choose my own though. the only problem is, I can’t find any on the internet. i need a whole ceremony without the unity candle thing. I need an opening, a ring ceremony, and all that jazz. Now I don’t know if anyone here knows any of this stuff. But maybe if you could either post links to good stuff or put what you used for your weddings it would be great! Thanks!

P.S. I need for tommorrow morning…:frowning:

I don’t mean to be rude, but you got this far along and hand’t discussed this before?

But here is a site I found on a quick search. If you don’t find anything here I’m sure someone will come up with something better

An odd suggestions, but the hub and I wanted something simple, but meaningful and beautiful, and we found the perfect one: a holy union service used as part of a gay wedding ceremony. If you want something QUITE simple and lovely without all of the brou-haha, I highly reccomend looking for one.

I know I’m a retard. But I haven’t got everything together. This waas one of the little details. we know how much we love each other. But poets, we are not. I was assuming that the ceremony would be traditional. but the pastor has other things in mind. I don’t know why I can’t find links either. I’m a retard.

I didn’t mean to indicate that it was all entirely your fault, tubagirl. By all means, I know that they get really frazzled when planning a wedding. I meant that the pastor should have sat you down at some point before this to go over it, it is his job to find out what you want.

Was the link I gave of any use?

I got a ceremony off of it which is a tradtional cemeremony. i f ou find an more, I’d be much obliged.

Buuuuuuump!

please help. i only have one ceremony to show my fiance…
of course, he’ll agree with anything…

Just got home from work, tubagirl, so I am back on the case.

If you want to run to a bookstore (probably not) here is a list of relevant books:

Still looking.

Here is a site with many vows, ring exchanges, benedictions, templates, etc.

http://www.ritualarts.com/weddings.htm

Slow site, but it is the most comprehensive I have found yet:

My wedding was very simple.

The pastor said the usual things about marriage.
We exchanged our vows and rings.
An actor friend then recited a Shakespearian Sonnet while we held hands.
The Pastor pronounced us man and wife.

I was moved by the sonnet.

It helps if you are involved with the theatre community like we were, but not nescessary.

Hope this helps.

I thought this was another Princess Bride thread.
