Jojo is doing great. He’s eating and grooming.
He has the freedom of the cage room at the Vets office.
He can leap to the second level to get in his own cage.
He’s also a thief. The tech said he gets things and paper from the can and burys it in his blankets. His stolen paper goes in the litter box.
He thinks he’s found a way to generate healing in Jojo’s absesses.
In a few days he’s gonna go back in and do a radical clean out and add some really good antibiotics. As long as he doesn’t have any bone involvement it should work. He can then clean up the edges to promote healing.
I’m glad he’s waiting a few days. Jojo can get his bearings a bit more.
He must feel loads better already.
The vet said he’s a wonderful cat. He just spews love. And we deserve each other.
I just cried like a baby.
Isn’t it a mad mad mad world?
2 weeks ago I was at the bottom of a pit.
I lost my Clarence the possum. I was having weird skin issues, my brain started being insane and doing what it wanted.
One door slammed shut and caught my fingers. Bad, bad, bad time.
I was depressed and thinking about just laying here and giving up.
Then, again cats walked right into my life. And a door flung open. Fresh air and sunshine flowed over me.
There’s just no way of knowing how things will turn out.
So sorry. I’ve had phone issues due to storms all day.
I’m back up and running. It also was a dialysis day.
Jojo
He’s being a brat today. He was meowing like he was dying at the vet clinic so they had to open the door so he could wander further a-field.
But, bar-none everyone who saw him made awwww, pitiful sounds. The vet put his before and after pictures on the bulletin board.
Tech said everyone donated money to him as they paid their own bill. He’s got about $50.
The vet put it up to encourage neutering of male cats, or this could happen to your cute little kitten.
That amazed me. I’ve donated to things like that. I thought I was probably the onliest person who did. Man was I wrong.
The vet is gonna hold off a few more days on this last surgery to see how he’s doing.
And he was so happy. He thinks he might have invented the technique he was gonna use.
He’s not completely abandoned it.
Not sure I want this little boy to be used as a guinea pig.
The tech said Vet would never do anything unless it’s really needed. She said he’s just not that person.
That eased my concerns.
I know him pretty good from years of going there with all my pets and possum. So I kinda knew too.
They said he was jumping up getting into stuff and racing around. She said she was trying to keep an eye on him as people were coming and going and he would see a dog or cat carrier and do that weird arching the back, stiff legged sideways bounce and spit at it. I love that.
Jojo is on a right tear. Ever since they got in the office, this morning.
Purring and seeking skritches and love.
She said he looks so good and is very active.
He may go up for adoption
