So…I was at Dialysis this morning and the director came into my cubicle.
She is also director of the Rehab center. The two places are ran by the same company.
It seems they’ve spotted a new cat in the jail yard.
I’ve seen this cat. He is your classic alley cat. Beat up, nasty, and a crooked tail. Severely crooked, like it makes a L shape, down.
A pitiful cracking meow.
She said she was calling the pound.
Now I don’t like this.
They won’t give him a chance. He’s really not pleasant to look at. But still.
The director asked me did I think I could get Dot and Dash into a carrier so they could have a vet visit and have their yearly shots.
I said, yes I could. Or better yet give them the shots.
I held her hostage tho’. I want Alley Jojo to have at least one chance. He may be need to be euthanized. But I wanna know a vet looked first.
She said Hmmmm. And left.
After Diàlysis I went outside. There were 3 cats coming to me for treats.
Jojo was so happy. He purred so loud. Blinkie eyes at me.
I reached over and patted his head 2 times. He’s not a bit wild or feral. He lost his family somehow. My heart was breaking for him.
Later she called my cel and asked what I wanted to do to get Dot and Dash in a carrier for her.
I told her I wanted Jojo looked at by the vet and try to treat him and clean him up.
She said “Oh, god you’ve named him”
That works everytime.
Yeah, I’m evil in my machinations to get my way.
So, this is the program the tomorrow. After breakfast I’m going out. The carrier will already be there. Treats for the cats in hand I’m enticing them to me and I’m gonna pick them up and put them in the crate.
But, Jojo might be skittish.
So, Son-of-a-wrek is coming to dart him from a distance outside the jail yard.
You would not believe what we went thru to get this ok’d by LE. But a sheriff deputy is gonna meet him there.
I will adopt Jojo if he gets healthy and clean and doesn’t have that disease, feline leukemia. I told the director I’ll pay vet charges.
How do I get myself in these kinda things?
Gah!
