Wait just a dang minute. Bad bad bad Ms. Beck-brain, we gotta talk

i was hoping to hear good news about jo jo. it sounds like he has quite the recovery ahead of him. i hope he can be with you soon.

will there be a general announcement for the rehab population? sounds like the whole facility has a vested interest.

Oh, lord yes.
This place is not nearly full but everyone in here has asked me how Jojo’s doing.

One CNA says she’ll take him. I told her “NO”. He’s mine.

Jojo has about as many ailments as myself.:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

i will wait impatiently to hear about jojo and the siamese meet and greet.

I suspect I’ll hear the Siamese howls of fury clear in California.

The Beck signal went up, and she responded in spades. JoJo is going to be one lucky, pampered kitty.

I am so glad to see that!

And that is one lucky cat. It’s clear that if he hadn’t found somebody who would get him a good bit of veterinary care, he wouldn’t have lived much longer. Too many things were going wrong for him to heal them all; and several of them would have been preventing him getting enough food to sustain himself and support healing.

More outstanding news, Beck! Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks for the update, Beck. I’ve been hoping he’d be okay. Fingers still crossed, but it sounds good. And expensive.

His sound more curable than some of yours girl, but yes, you’ve found a friend who understands your troubles.

Way to go! The entire feline world is grateful for you , @Beckdawrek

Now you can use your Critter Whisperer skillz to bring in Bigfoot.

Surgery number 3. His teeth need to be pulled. His neck and face are just covered with abseses from animal bites. They are gonna shave his hair, in that area, and clean those up while he’s under.

Damn. Great thread. In a way I wish I’d gotten here sooner, but then I’d have had to wait to hear how the JoJo thing turned out. Good shootin’, Son-of-a-wrek!
And good thoughts for you and all of yours, Beck.

JoJo wil look bad-bad-BAD by the time you get him home. His face and neck will be hairless and scrawny, and the abscesses will have to remain open so they can heal from the bottom up.

But his tail won’t hurt, and with those nasty rotten teeth gone, he will have an appetite and want FOOD.

Don’t worry about giving a toothless cat dry food. They find a way to chomp and crunch just fine!

One thing will definitely confuse JoJo: the mess on his face and neck, along with the rotten, painful teeth will make sense that area of his body hurts. He will NOT understand the pain in his nether region!

All of his teeth, or just some?

– Even if it’s all, I’m sure he’ll figure out how to eat. Some cats don’t chew their kibble on the way down, anyway. And there’s always canned food (the shortage continues, but it never seems to be total; there always seems, at least around here, to be something on the shelves.)

And the poor cat! He’s going to, eventually, feel so much better.

My understanding is all his teeth. It’s sad, in a way. I think he’ll adapt.
The vet told me he’s a rather young guy.
He guesstimated, by his manly bits that he was not 2 yrs old.

He said again, Jojo was just a sweet happy cat. Purrs constantly and seems to want attention.

I’ve fostered many feral-ish cats and they 100% wanna be left alone in a dark room for awhile.

Yep, @VOW he’s gonna have quite the recovery spell.

And he will get over losing the manly bits. Not even sad for him. About that issue.:relaxed:

Awww, the poor little dude. So young to have so much happen to him. What colour is his fur?

Well. I thought he was dark brownish tabby.
The vet tech cleaned him up and she told me he was an orange tabby.

Whoa. If he’s that dirty, he’s been feeling bad for a while.

I’m so glad he found you.
