Perhaps they feel it irrelevant.
OK, I’ll 'fess up.
In real life, I’m a chirpy teenage quadriplegic. I’d post about that, but some things are just too unbelievable.
Well. I am not mighty, and no longer a girl. Just so you know.
Whereas I am both.
I’m actually Kirk Douglas.
I kinda liked this character: ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)
Developed by, IIRC, Rachellelogram.
You’re a mighty girl?
I’m pleased to say that I am no longer tethered. So that’s progress, I guess.
Swoop, swoop.
I’ve been playing a character all along, but chances are nobody much knows or cares except me.
I might know.
(And someone might get that.)
Blinkie (note spelling – there is another poster named Blinky), posted a link to one of his appearances on Good Morning America. I was reminded of it recently because there is a GMA ad running currently in which I’m pretty sure he is featured (at least they show a locked-in guy, and he’s been featured multiple times on the show). Now it’s always possible that someone has gone to the trouble of adopting the persona of the guy on GMA, but that seems unlikely to me, particularly since Blinkie was here for a while before he mentioned it.
Anyway, I have excellent trolldar, and instantly figured out the most notorious SDMB fakes, and I have always believed that Blinkie is for real.
I’m neither Digital, nor Analog. Or maybe I am. Hmm.
I think people would be much more likely to develop characters on narrow subject forums, rather than this one where any poster is likely to discuss an extremely broad range of subjects.
I’m not actually named “susan.”
I am 100% authentic at all times. I am too dumb to fake it. Derp :smack:
I must also confess, I am not Shimrod in disguise as a charlatan and mender of sore knees at the Glass Blowers Fair, despite the origin of my name.
I am presently also not a real professor of Applied Paleontology at Miskatonic University.
There was a poster here who claimed to have had an extremely rare operation where they removed the lower half of her body, a “hemi…” something or other.
Thinking about her this past December, I tried to see if I could find this poster and I did - there were references to her condition on other websites and some quotes. To the best of my ability to find out, it seemed like she entered the hospital for the final time within a year after she stopped posting here (which wasn’t long at all.)
It was all rather depressing (y’all can feel free to dig up the links), and I said a quick prayer for her.
Was her name Angel and she’d had a hemicorporectomy? I did a Google search and as of Jan 2013 she was doing well and taking college classes. I hope she’s still doing well. I’m on my phone and can’t post links, but I searched “Angel hemicorporectomy” and found several local news stories about her.
ETA: I found her blog and she last updated Dec. 31st, so I think she’s ok assuming this is the correct person.
It’s possible that I “found” the wrong person, Catherine. Thanks!
I am EddyTeddyFreddy here, but I am not, in fact, even one neutered male orange tiger cat, let alone three.
Elsewhere on the Web, I am Janicket, but that does not mean I am portions of two deceased geldings and a deceased pony.
In fact, despite my appearance in other environs as Never Ben Better, I am not an elderly but still living bay Thoroughbred gelding.
Why, no. No, I don’t have any trouble telling my various personas apart. Why do you ask?
