Wait, the new season of The Killing is actually ... good?

I’m looking at the reviews for the show on AVClub and so far the episodes have been averaging B+/A-

First two seasons had mostly Cs

Has anyone here been watching it?

Yes, and it’s quite different from the first season. The two main characters are still the same personalities, but the show moves more quickly and the supporting cast is excellent.

Do they still make Seattle look like the city where dreams go to kill themselves?

Pretty much.

But I am enjoying the new season so far.

I’m getting a big kick of the character Bullet.

The background story of homeless teenagers is really depressing. To me this is feeling close to The Wire as far as addressing social issues (or at least acknowledging they exist).
