Waiting for Bob: A placeholder MMP

YAY! (Cousin gets that a lot, too, where she teaches - ego-boos are good things)

:dubious: you want I should start laughing again? mwah  I couldn’t say stuff like that if’n I didn’t luv ya ‘n’ stuff

Ya know, i think I watched ‘Waiting for Godot’ once. At least there’s a 2-hour void in my memory with that label on it.

We went and watched the 12 year old granddaughter play soccer this afternoon.
She never wanted to play forward before 'cause she thought she wasn’t aggressive enough. She was the most aggressive and hardest working girl out there today.
Why am I telling you this? I dunno.

I don’t know from tornados, out here we have earthquakes.
The only good thing about tornados is, if you live where they have 'em, you gets to have a basement. I want a basement.

Gotta go watch Dancing With The (kinda sorta) Stars now.

I made homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight. It was tasty and perfect for a rainy, cool, blustery day.

Bobbio, you’re just a big teddy bear! You probably made that kid’s day.

Hubby is very happily reading his new Kindle. It was the birthday gift from our friends to him. It finally arrived and our friends were able to give it to him yesterday.

I’d like to watch a little boob tube, but he’s out there reading, so I’ll get to it later, I suppose.

If you think dog farts are bad, just wait until I proclaim that dog owners should have berber carpet or some similarly multicolor brown-toned non-pattern carpet to camouflage accidents and scooting.

Hardwood is the way to go.

Since when are pirates supposed to give a fart about that?

Currently, the radio in my car is set to a station whose music I like, but whose not-morning-yet DJ is very good for my blood pressure. It’s naturally low and he raises it, but like all medication, this dude must be taken in moderation: more than five minutes counts as an overdose. Most DJs talk a bit over the songs, but not in the frakkin’ middle, nor do they hum and clap along with the chorus. Excuse me while I take deep breaths… ok, that’s better. Anyway, in the morning I drive to work listening to a tape, in the afternoon I go home listening to the radio. The current tape contains two legendary Loquillo LPs, one with a bunch of different groups and El Ritmo del Garage, the one with the Alaska collaborations which brought him to the spotlight. Yesterday I got in the car, El Ritmo del Garage started playing, I switched over to the radio - and El Ritmo del Garage continued playing, as they happened to be playing it on the radio at the same time. Giggling while driving is legal, right? singing off-key Tu madre no lo dice pero me mira mal…

Yay! We have hot water again. That is all.

Hurrah for BooFae’s hot water!

I’m up and partially caffeinated but am staying home today. i couldn’t sleep last night and if I go in, I’ll be nodding off on my desk. So I’ll rest up here and then go out this afternoon to the grocery store and farmer’s market, I did find out that the apple cider will be out after the end of September, so yay for that!

Happy Tuesday all!

…with fangs.

Blurf.

I agree!
My husband’s drinking buddy.

Dinner last night was leftover prime rib, simmered with onions and potatoes. OMG! So good.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienated. I shall get dressed for public shortly and head out the door to take an aptitude test for a job I don’t want but Ima do it anyways.

Nava yay on hot water again!

gotti keep ‘em comin’! I saw a chee-hoo-ah-hoo-ah yesterday that made my heart melt a little. I need negative doggy reinforcement.

Nava I have XM (Sirius really but they’re both the same) radio. Lots of stations, no commercials or uber annoyin’ djs. Right now I’m listenin’ to a station called “Classic Vinyl.” It’s olde farte music and I’m really lovin’ it. Yay for XM (Sirius) radio.

Ok, time to go adulterate for the general public.

Later Y’all!

Happy Hockey Tuesday Mumpers! I’m ducking out early to tailgate today.

Yay for hot water, BooFae!

I agree that hot water is a good think and appreciate being mistaken for BooFae, who is a lot more stylish than I am.

A lifetime ago, when I lived In Indianapolis, one of my projects had a computer system the sysadmin named Godot. It was slow, and everyone was waiting for…

When I joined the project, Godot was replaced by a cluster of 4, and I was made the sysadmin instead. I named the 4 CPUs Bingo, Bango, Bongo, and Irving.

Let’s see who gets that pop culture reference…

ETA: Swamps, if you like Classic Vinyl, go up 2 more channels to Deep Tracks…

I think I liked The Honeybees better…

Morning, everybody. I’ll catch up shortly. Couldn’t pass this up, though.

BooFae has hot water! Hooray!

We have XM as well: my favorite channel is 164, Radio Classics. They play all the wonderful old-time radio shows, like Dragnet, The Shadow, Johnny Dollar and the like. Rock at Random, Deep Tracks and Classic Vinyl are good too. 70’s on 7 is great when they play repeats of Casey Kasem’s American Top 40. My XM radio is an old Roady 2, and I have the personal kit with it, so I like to listen when I’m out walking.

Happy Birthday, Missy!

We had a tornado siren go off while I was at work once, gt. We didn’t lose that much time though. But it was the first time I’d ever seen the sky turn green. It would have been cool if I hadn’t been driving back to work at the time, which was pretty scary. Then I had to run into the building through the pouring rain. I spent the afternoon soaked. It wasn’t fun.

It’s going to be another looooooooooong day of waiting. I really don’t like working with this person. She’s very slow and easily distracted. (OK, so she has a lot of other responsibilities, but it shouldn’t make me work late into the night because she’s got other stuff that needs to get done. GRRRRR.)

I bought an antique table/flour bin to use as an island in my kitchen. I unloaded it and wrestled it into my kitchen last night. I have very little counter space, so if I can keep from cluttering this up, it’ll be great! The bins can hold dog and cat food.

Right now all my animals seem healthy, knock on wood. I took the dog crate down last night. I’d disassembled it before, then Wylie was attacked by coyotes and needed a place to recuperate.

It’s supposed to be 15 degrees above normal today. I’m ready for summer to be over.

STGERM - cool table!

Work is still being -------- work. Too many hours for a while. Till later hugs and attaboys as appropriate and a happy hockey season to Doggio

I’ve been MIA for a couple days. I did some major living room cleaning/rearranging Saturday and did not realize I injured myself until Sunday. Sunday i got hit with a double whammy sore neck and sinus problems. I ended up leaving work early and came home and took decongestants and put a heating pad on my neck. My sinuses are better but the neck got worse and I’m still suffering with that. Did a minor workout yesterday and hit the hit tub and right now I stink of menthol rub. This is why I never get anywhere, I manage to accomplish something but injure myself or get sick and then I end up getting behind again.

So while I was nursing my ills and surfing the web I discovered regretsy.com and any spare moments I’ve had were spent going through that entire website. I haven’t laughed that much in a long time. My new goal is to make something that gets featured on regretsy, I just hope I can be crappy enough.

Warning: If you’ve never been to regretsy and you decide to visit you may be compelled to go through the entire archives. Namaste, bitches!
