Wake up Wiki MMP

My hip hurts, after effect of spending half the night on the carpeted floor outside the porcelain bus depot, aka the powder room. :frowning:

Best toy drive in Da Burgh. Santa always tries extra to help his little leather-clad elves.

Not only won but basically by Divine Intervention! Not very Lutheran of them however. The Vikings would have blown the play in a slightly-less-proud manner

Tomorrow at this time I will be entering Santarchy 2015 as Kosher Klaus. Twelve hours of drinking and debauchery. In other words, unless I get up early, don’t expect any Saturday posts from me to make much sense. Like any of my posts make much sense. But after visiting possibly as many as 31 bars -----------

Laundry is done, except for the stuff still on the lines drying. I even put away my sweetie’s unders and socks, because I’m nice, dammit! And I’ve watched the last available episodes of Doc Martin - hope the last season gets put on Netflix soon!! I noticed they don’t sweat stuff like continuity - the baby goes from being bald to having curls several times within a single episode! Yeah, they use multiple babies for that character.

Just got a call from my car guys - as soon as **FCD **gets home, we can pick it up. I suppose if I wanted to walk the 5 miles, I could get it myself, but that ain’t gonna happen. In fact, I was about to make the cookies, once I clear counter space for the cooling racks. And chop the pecans. And pull out all of the ingredients. Guess I should make sure I’ve got enough of everything before I start…

doggio, Amazon was where I began checking. I just needed to figure out what my specs were. However, I’m waiting to hear back from a couple I found on CL.

{{{spidey}}}

ruble, which reindeer will be the designated driver?

Knocked off early this afternoon and was the next to the last one out of my department. I’ll hit the grocery store later, but surfing and nappage is higher on the list.

Home from the final. He seemed a lot happier this time around.

I thought I was going to die sitting in the truck waiting for him - the sun was bright and I was burning. The only thing I could find was a trash bag, so I put that in the window. Next trip I’ll take a towel or something.

Next thing is getting groceries.

I need some lunch.

I guess today is Lateday.

We got to the hospital, and the doc hadn’t actually put in the orders for blood. So we wait for that to happen. Add in the time to start the IV, draw blood for a type and cross, wait for the blood bank to send up the goods, and DH waited two and a half hours from the time we got there to the time blood started flowing.

Meanwhile, I’m waiting for the local car rental place to pick me up. So far, they’re almost a half hour late thanks to a goof by the corporate call center.

So, UPS came earlier this week, with only half of a shipment for our store. And, when they finally returned today with the other half, the box was jacked up as shit.

Needless to say, the day did not get off to a flying start.

Cookies are all baked and pretty much cooled. I’m going to take down the clothes from the lines, then pack up the cookies for the trip. The rest will be “spares” as my sweetie calls them.

Interesting day. Someone cut the fiber-optic line so we were without Internet at work. Heck, most of us had no idea what to do. I finally settled for doing a couple of Excel spreadsheets and organizing and cleaning my desk (which I can now see).

But strange how dependent we have become on the 'Net in what amounts to be less than 20 years…

It did return…45 minutes before my day ends. Out the door in 10 minutes.

All laundry is down and put away, 3 dozen cookies are packaged for the trek to FL, the rest are ours, my sweetie has come home, and we retrieved the car. He doesn’t want to eat. I’m thinking about ordering pizza. A supper of oatmeal-pecan-raisin cookies isn’t very satisfactory.

Howdy Y’all! I was a bzzzy bear today. Irked, made and ate dindin (homemade burgers and fries, YUM), and prepped stuff for jambalaya makin’ tomorrow. In the mornin’ we’re goin’ to the annual Kiwanis pancake breakfast. All you can eat pancakes, snausages, and best of all BACON!!!

Now I shall surf teh intartoobz and chill.

My sweetie and I are going to breakfast in the morning before he heads to the office and I come home and mulch leaves. I got pizza and he got a Greek salad for supper. Now we’re just wasting the evening away. <yawn>

I cooked a pot of beef stew, rice and made Cole slaw. We had leftover cornbread from last night. It was good rainy day food.

Logging off for the day. MWAH!!

I shall also log off for the day. We’s two tahrd bears up in here!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Ouch dude! I have’t had a day like that in at least 20 years.

Have you considered becoming lazy and out of shape? It’s worked for me.

No rain or even much cold here, but there’s still a dutch oven full of beef stew bubbling away gently in my oven, so DH should be greeted by yummy smells when he gets back from the hospital.

It had to happen sooner or later…an acquaintanceof mine was among those killed in San Bernardino. He ran the coffee shop and trained developmentally disabled people in that building. He was also a Rennie and a member of my guild.

Do you know Maggie the Ocelot IRL? She is also acquainted with the gentleman you mention is known to you. In the SB shooting thread she posts a link to an online article about the guy.

I’m sorry about your acquaintance, gotti. Actually knowing someone victimized by tragedy puts a face behind the evening news.

swampy, you two may be tahred bears tonight, but you’ll be stuffed bears tomorrowmorning. :stuck_out_tongue:

butters, I want to eat at your house.

I just got back from the university town down the road with a kick ass desktop. I found a little shop on CL that purchases lots from the game design department at the university and refurbs them. It’s waaaaaayyyy more computer than I really need, but who am I to argue for $75?
