The nice thing about invitatin’ folks over for an early dindin is they also leave early. Good company. Good food. Good drink. Dishwasher is doin’ it’s thing and chill mode has ensued. All is well.
I’m glad I have my dog Nathan and my cat Atilla. Sometimes I think that my responsiblity towards them is one of the things that keeps me from doing something foolish.
I think ‘tis time to retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. I have a feelin’ sleepy time will happen real soon.

Moooom, mine don’t really wind up behind furniture so much as they’re only two outlet boxes, which worked when the only things you had to plug in were lamps and the t.v. In my 6’X8’ studio only one box is handy. I have a computer, lamp, heat gun, light box, sketch tablet, die cutting machine, printer, monitor and the chargers for my tablet, laptop and phone. It takes two power strips.
It looks like I’ll have to wait until my nephew visits for tech support to hook up the second monitor. Meanwhile, I’m still downloading software.
You proposed to me a couple of years ago when you found out that I rubbed feet.
We are Jewish, we could work that out.
I just haven’t talked Mrs. Plant, (v.3.0) into it yet.
Slept until 3 (!), then got up and worked on a craft’s project with my daughter. The day is looking better after the late start and judicious applications of caffeine.
Baker pets are good for many things. I told my husband that I would get over my cold faster if the cats would curl up with me. There’s something soothing about settling in with a purring bundle of warm.

Yes, I have a wireless router which this laptop talked to up until now. And, yes, that’s what’s plugged into the computer, so don’t go getting all tech-y with me!

Higgs was quiet till about 5:30. She’s been out and fed, and now she’s snoozing. The pellet stove ran out of pellets overnight (oops!) and I just refilled it, so it’s starting to warm things up in here again.
**FCD **is going to the office this morning - he said he gets plenty of work done because there’s no one interrupting him. Being the senior mechanical engineer and having a gazillion years of experience, the young guys are always seeking advice from him, which means he’s not as productive when there are people around. But he said he’ll leave there at noon. We shall see…
I’ve got to run to Food Lion for lunch fixin’s. Then I’ve got to deal with the leaves, since rain is forecast for next weekend and the accumulation is pretty thick. Here’s hoping it won’t take more than a couple of hours. But busy busy day ahead.

I trust you don’t have these all on at once, because that’s a fire just waiting to happen - or at least a circuit breaker waiting to pop. :eek: Especially if other rooms/outlets are on the same circuit with other things turned on.
We found out how close we were to disaster when we had our circuit breaker box replaced earlier this year. When the electrician took the old one down, there was evidence of arcing and the backer board was scorched. Please be careful!!!

Up too early, I have no idea why, just am.
It’s a frigid 28 degrees outside but supposed to warm up too 53 later today. Next weekend looks to be in the high 50s, sounds like a good thing to me.
Today is going to be another do nothing much day.
Oh I second the be careful with electrical. I know someone whose house burned down from a printer catching fire. I unplug just about everything around here when it’s not being used.
If we are going away that includes the dryer and toaster over as well.

We were talkin’ last night and even though there’s jambalya enough to take, we’re gonna skip out on brunch Sunday today. Matter of fact, we shall go deheathenate with the Luteruns this mornin’ so’s we can head back here to da cave around ten and be sloths the rest of the day. Sounds like a good plan to me!
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Also, purtification for deheathenization should commence shortly.

No, I was thinking in terms of not quitting my job, or jumpin off of a cliff.
BLURF.
I read two books yesterday about Alzheimer’s. No particular reason. Just know it’s a horrible disease and I hope I am never touched by it either as a patient or caregiver.
The rain finally stopped. I have much to do today instead of laying around and reading. House is in need of tidying and laundry is piled up. I need to cook today. We ate leftovers yesterday so must cook if we are to eat today.
