Not wanting to de-rail the Potato Salad thread completely (lord knows I tried),
I thought I’d share a completely WTF video.
Sara is a, um, plus-sized gal who obviously loves food and its preparation.
The internet is such a fun place - please feel free to share your favorite OMG or WTF videos. I’m not looking for funny kittens or kids faceplanting from various vehicles.
Taser victims and groin shots are so passe.
I seek the slightly odd to the completely stunning.
Something that just leaves you speechless and shaking your head.
I love how the healthful benefits of the green pepper, carrot, etc., are all negated by the massive amounts of mayo, sugar, etc. And, come on now, Sarah, an ENTIRE JAR of mayo? Surely half a cup would be more than enough.
I couldn’t hear what she was saying, as I don’t have sound, but GOOD GOD!!! Is there normally sugar in macaroni salad? I don’t know, I don’t eat it.
(What’s kind of sad is that she disabled comments in all of her videos – I can only imagine how nasty people were. On the other hand…GOOD GOD WOMAN!!! YOU’VE GOT MORE CHINS THAN A CHINESE PHONEBOOK!!!)
[sub]I was eating some corn chips with hummus – I love hummus – and I had to put them away. I think I’ll favorite that video, it’ll curb my appetite when I feel the need to splurge on sweets.[/sub]
The striking thing about the video is how blissfully clueless Sara is. She’s so darned proud of how delicious the dish is. Why doesn’t she see the video the way we see it?
Heck no. At least, not in any macaroni salad I’ve ever made or read a recipe for. Most recipes at worst have an overabundance of oil and/or mayo. I’ve never seen a sweet macaroni salad. Yuk.
That was nauseating. Most pasta salads have far too much mayo for my taste. Mine uses two ounces of mayo for a pound of pasta. Plus other ingredients (up to a cup of kalamata or other spicy olives, two peppers of different colors, a few tablespoons of chopped pickled hot pepper rings, five scallions, 2 tsp of sweet relish (just a bit of sweetness)).
