Disclaimer I do not believe there is a way to reverse the name generator to find out real names… if you are still twitchy about this, just use your SDMB handle in place of your real name.
I stumbled on the Elvish Name Generator the other day and I loved it. Post your findings here… I bet there will be some username requests coming from this in the near future.
My elvish name is Dínendal Tinehtelë.
P.S. Feel free to post your Hobbit name as well, mine is Hambut Danderfluff
I wonder if there is any rhyme or reason. I bet it’s a random paring. Retrying Elven real name, I do get Elladan Telrúnya, so maybe there’s a method here.
**Elanor the Fair ** was Samwise’s eldest daughter. She married Fastred of Greenholm in 30FA.
Fastred was made Warden of Westmarch in 34, and he and Elanor made their home at Undertowers on the Tower Hills in the Westmarch. Elanor and Fastred’s descendants came to be known as the Fairbairns of the Towers. Their son Elfstan Fairbairn was born in 33. They also had a daughter named Firiel.
Garion is Elfstan’s son. So perhaps you are Elanor Faibairn’s Grandaughter and married a descendant of Pippin. Elanor the Fair was the first Elanor in the Shire and it was Frodo who suggested that she be named after the golden flower elanor found in Lothlorien, thus following the Hobbit custom of naming girls after flowers while selecting a unique name that suited the beautiful, golden-haired child. In later years she came to be called Elanor the Fair. In appearance, some said she was more like an Elf-maid than a Hobbit.
