Warehouse 13 - Season 2

The HG and Myka vibe is definitely pinging my gaydar. Joanne Kelly has more chemistry with the HG actress than that wrestling lunkhead last week.

The reason why Pete doesn’t do it for me is that he has generic good looks with a dufus personality which I have seen a million times over on TV. He has gotten more goofy this season which gets on my last nerve. Artie gets love because he has unique looks and a quirky personality (also he might be a Hobbit).

Ooh, brainstorming possible actors for HG’s partner… If we stick in the genre, Ben Browder, Enver Gjokaj, Aaron Douglas , or Alexis Denisof.

Oh, yeah.

Or more from “Firefly”/Serenity. Perhaps bring back Sean Maher in a new role?

Having really different personalities is the key to keeping things interesting. Of all of those, I’d probably choose Aaron Douglas. Him and Jaime Murray would have the least in common, presuming that the character was anything like BSG.

Lee Pace!

I’d like to see all your examples regularly on genre TV again, but I think Alexis would actually be the best match for H G Wells.

…Flux Capacitor!!!

I wonder if any of the show writers read Terry Pratchett. He’s dealt with time travel a couple of times, and the the whole idea that the past has already happened, and you can’t change it, or if you do change it now then you already changed it then; or to paraphrase one of the time monks, “When you try it, I expect quantum’ll win.”

A good episode. Artie (with whom I’m madly in love - seeing him sitting next to Myka sadly stroking her cheek when he thinks she’s not going to make it back just about killed me) seems like he’s starting to come around with regards to H.G., while she is establishing herself as one scary chick. Pete, gods help me, reminds me more and more of Harry Potter; remember in OotP when Hermione accuses Harry of having a “saving people thing”? Although I suppose any reasonable human being is going to have saving people thing.

Next week starts the two episode season finale. :frowning: What am I going to watch when WH13 is over?

H.G. Croft!

Stupid stupid satellite receiver! I missed about 5 minutes towards the end; it came back just when the doctor was wrapping some kind of band around Mrs. Frederick’s and Claudia’s arms. And I have to go to work soon so I have to re-record it and wait until tomorrow to watch it and find out what that was all about…arrgghh!

So H.G. isn’t a happy sunshiney person after all - and it looks like the final episode will feature some awesome Artie (withwhomI’mmadlyinlove) and Claudia action while Pete and Myka are unconscious and underground. I wonder what H.G.'s motives are. Hopefully we find out next week.

And then the season will be over. :frowning:

i am a new fan of warehouse 13. my kind of story writing. please please don’t let it disintegrate~!

Did anyone else think it kinda sad that Myka’s happy place was back at the warehouse, getting a new case from Artie? ‘With lots of details’? :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, and… some of my lovers were male? Seems like the folks catching some tension between HG and Myka might not have been that far off track. Though, that Tesla+ is probably gonna put a damper on any relationship prospects…

She has the power of an entire Warehouse at her disposal.

World domination?

Actually what I think will happen:

There’s some sort of something that she can use to bring back her daughter, that’s use is forbidden. She’ll succeed at bringing her daughter back, just for the daughter to be a brain eating zombie or some other thing that she has to accept isn’t worth having. So then HG and the rest of the crew will have to put the zombie back in her box before something or another causes the world to end. Aaaand, just at the last moment, they’ll all be saved by Valda, who was never dead.

I’m not a fan of Pete. He seems to be getting dumber and dumber as the seasons go by.

That’s not good. He doesn’t have far to go.

He has been a bit of a spaz this season, but to be fair we already have a warehouse full of super-brains. He’s supposed to be the “right brain” of the crew, with his (slightly annoying) “vibes” and his less conventional approach to problem solving. Plus he’s at least smart enough to become a Secret Service agent in the first place, and he’s fiercely loyal to and protective of the people he loves. I think he provides a necessary balance to the show.

Well the obvious would be somehow getting her daughter back. Although the previews make it seem more like a

Dark Willow situation, if she can’t have what she wants, she’ll destroy the world for being so unfair…

Yes, I even turned to someone I was watching it with to say “Myka’s happiest moment makes me sad:(” And yeah, “Many of my lovers have been men” does seem to validate those of us who raised eyebrows over the gals.

I’ll put this speculation in a spoiler box, but it seems pretty obvious that Wells is screwing them over because she discovered an artifact housed in Warehouse 2 that will bring the dead back to life. which is terribly cliched.

What would be far far cooler, and much more ethically ambigious, would be if she found an artifact that would allow what happens to characters in “A Certain Slant of Light” by Laura Whitcomb to happen between her kid and a young (almost) successful suicide.

Well so, I was just rewatching some previous episodes and noted that HG worked at Warehouse 12. If there has only been 13 warehouses since the start of humanity, it seems likely that there is only one at any time. The three that we know about:

Warehouse 2 - Egypt, Age of the Pharaohs
Warehouse 12 - Britain?, Age of the British Empire
Warehouse 13 - USA, Age of the American Superpower

Overall, it seems likely that the Warehouse is situated in the most powerful nation on Earth. Which would mean:

Warehouse 1 - 3000-1600BC, Ancient Sumer
Warehouse 2 - 1600-800BC, Ancient Egypt
Warehouse 3 - 800-500BC, Ancient Greece
Warehouse 4 - 500BC-500AD, Rome
Warehouse 5 - ??
Warehouse 6 - ??
Warehouse 7 - ??
Warehouse 8 - ??
Warehouse 9 - 1400-1500, Portuguese Empire
Warehouse 10 - 1500-1600, Spanish Empire
Warehouse 11 - 1600-1700, Netherlands
Warehouse 12 - 1800-1900, UK
Warehouse 13 - 1900-?, USA

China would be in there somewhere, I suspect. The Byzantine/Ottoman Empire and Islamic Empire would be as well. I don’t think the Mongolian empire would be, since it wasn’t really a center of learning – eschewing the written word. But overall I’m not sure which the fourth one would be, or in what order they would go.
