Sounds like you’re the one not letting anyone forget it, when the rest of us (me included) have let it fade into the background. What happened to “going forth and sinning no more?” It’s advice you ought to heed. Oh, and please, please, please point out to me where I have said anything either derogatory or relating to your spate of mod bashing since that post, so that you can somehow justify your drive-by sniping that, frankly, makes no sense to me. The only reason I can think you’re doing this is to point out that maybe I was wrong - we forgot sooner than I predicted? Why is that a reason to provoke me?

As I said, I’d completely forgotten your mod bashing and just looked at you as any other poster - your rocky patch was, as far as I’m concerned, completely forgotten. So why, oh why are you pestering me to not only remind me that you were once an annoying twit, but now prove yourself to be a jerk all over again?

I noticed warmgun offered an apology one post after his Esprix modhat offering, but I’m not sure if that’s in regards to the act or just for initially misspelling his name.

No, I’m not looking for a fight. But I was irritated with your uppity response to my apology. I’m not an annoying jerk or a twit. I made a bad decision to question the mods in this forum one time, I admitted it with no excuses (though there were mitigating circumstances), aplogized privately to all concerned by e-mail (who were all polite and supportive) and apologized to the boards at large. And still I got flak from non-paticipants. Then you came along as if it were up to you to let the rest of the members remember or forget, and insinuated I might be banned. You continue to portray me that way. My first foray into the pit was a mess, I admit that, but I was accused of “trollish” behaviour which is pure balogna. I might have stepped on toes, but certainly not on purpose. I don’t really wish to carry this further, but if you do, please link me to one post that could have gotten me banned.

A mod bashing “kick”? Let’s not make it more than it was. I don’t think you hate me, but I’m not feelin’ the love either. You also pointed out some things that weren’t obvious, like possible banning, etc, which are not up to you.

Somehow yours is grander because you are better at cutting people down than me? Mine is “warped” because my viewpoint is different than yours?

That’s true. But that happened before the pit thread (or at least I read it before the pit thread). Regardless, it was good advice (I bought the book) and I still have thanks for you for recomending it. I apreciate it.

Couldn’t you have taken your own advice and e-mailed me? Instead of trying to make yourself look clever at my expense. You get around, you couldn’t have shown a little compassion and helped a pit newbie?

Warmgun, YOU’RE the one who “incited others to remember” by dredging up past history. YOU interjected your same old grudges into an otherwise civil and blameless thread. YOUR interjection reverts right back to your stale old hobby horse about clicques, frequent posters, etc. controlling who gets banned when YOU’VE had ample personal experience to the contrary.

I don’t understand this. Was he banned for his response to TVeblen? He does not seem to be disrespecting her, and it isn’t clear that Veb is acting as a moderator (ie no official warning, no IMHO moderator in sig). I think warmgun thought that she was offering her opinion as a poster and in that light I don’t see what he wrote as out-of-line.

Not chosing sides, but to be fair, it seems to me that all warmgun was saying in regards to the above quote was that disagreeing with a member on a topic didn’t de-base his/her apology regarding mod ‘bashing’.
