If you’re a Letterman fan (I am, big time), then you liked his hosting. I thought he did fine. He even did a Stupid Pet Tricks bit. I don’t recall exactly what his critics said, but he’s always been an acquired taste, and apparently the Academy didn’t feel like giving him another chance.
Hasn’t “Best Actress” usually been the last award? Interesting that the prizes got reshuffled this way.
Well, I was looking forward to renting Monster on DVD, but it might be a while longer, if it makes another round through the theaters.
Oops…Bruce_Daddy has it right, it was Halle Berry. Julie Roberts was the one who leapt on Denzel Washington when he won.

Aw, Charlize almost made me cry. 
Keisha Castle-Hughes shot him the greatest “you are such a loser!” look when he did that.
I thought it was always the “Best Picture” that’s the last one.
My heart wanted Keisha or Naomi to win, but it was a strong category.
My money is on Penn (literally).
I think one of the reasons Rings is getting everything is because it didn’t win the last two years.

I’ve like to see Depp get it for his career, but I don’t think it will happen. Then again, I didn’t think ROTK take home 27+ awards either.
<sigh> Not that I didn’t like Sean Penn’s performance, but I really wanted to see one of the comedic ones get it.
