Or is it just me?
Whenever I go to the main page of the boards, this silly heart-shaped balloon with a smiley-face starts floating up from the bottom of my screen to the top. It doesn’t happen with any of the other websites I visit, nor does it happen with Straight Dope home, nor any of the Forum pages - just the SDMB main page. It just started happening this morning, by the way.
Is this some new measure to bring joy into our dreary, dull lives, or has my computer fallen in love with the Dope? 
And, of course, it stands to reason that the balloon stopped appearing the second I hit “Submit”.
Wonder what it was, though.

Some site you’ve visited may have had a hidden ad featuring the upcoming Valentines Day (heart-shaped balloon seems to indicate that). As others have said ankh – run some anti-spyware programs.
