We interrupt your regularly scheduled MMP to bring you this Early TV Mockumentary

Why did my mind parse that as

 :dubious:  :stuck_out_tongue:

What is a “rescue fwuck” and is it something only bears do? Is the purtification a strict pre-requisite for rescue fwucking (or should that be “rescuing a fwuck”)?

LiLi, just look forward to the time when wake-up time is determined fairly closely by bedtime. I know that HRH sleeps nearly 12 hours straight through at night (about 11h45, to be more exact), so if I get home at 5:45 pm and hubby has already put her to bed, I know I’ll be in trouble next morning. This is why I always try on a Thursday night to keep her up until 7pm - lets me have a little sleep-in on Fridays!!! The other thing I got HRH into the habit of was quiet time in her cot. If she wakes up at 5:30, I go in, give her back her dum-dum and quietly tell her it’s not wake-up time yet. She’ll usually lay back down or at least play quietly until 6! I work hard at domestificatin’ my li’l girl!!!

dotty that delves into the deep dark secrets of The Manual that we dare not speak of publicly. Don’t be surprised if two f-aaaaaa-bu-lous-ly dressed men come knockin’ on your door.

Glad the stew turned out good db. Now go to work, young man!

Ok, this time I’m really goin’ to purtify. I swear. Really. Right now…

A rescue fwuck would be what would happen if swampy’s twuck broke down near my house.

:wanders into the thread, singing:
If you go down to the woods today, you’re in for a big surprise …

:wanders out of the thread again:

up, off to work.

I just had a bad case of “the drops.” “The drops” are when everything suddenly freezes and I feel fear (not anxiety) drop through me. It’s the main reason I went on anxiety medication a couple of years ago (and promptly gained a lot of pounds on it and went off of them last year when they made “the drops” even worse). I hate “the drops”.

I need to go walk the dog this morning. Hope the rain holds off until we’re back.

Mrrrph.

Awake. Sort of.

I have a day off today… YAY! Initiating caffeination and then I will ponder doing some laundry before heading out to meet my coz for a late lunch. If ambition kicks in, I might even vaccuum.

Non-stop excitement, that’s me.

jngl, I woke up this morning with a vicious craving for some old school jungle/D&B tuneage and it’s all your fault.

Hey, y’all!

Not much to add - just wanted to say hey…

Why, cb got a chance to rescue sb or something? I mean, bears do all kinds of things in the woods, don’t they? Except polar bears, who don’t seem to be particularly fond of woods, that is…

I’m sure they’d be fond of them if they had some up North. Anyone want to fund a Ship Trees North for Polar Bears venture?
Nat did go back to sleep at 6:30, bless him, and slept till 8:30. I should clear out the fridge and ponder why we have so much food, andyet I can’t think of anything to make. We still have half a box of skor bars and three-quarters of the cake. That should do us over the weekend, don’t you think?

I think I’ll eat a larabar. And not work.

Oh, yes. For Haze and Mahna and anyone else interested, Robin McKinley has just started up a recipes blog, and she says that she has invented most of the recipes from Sunshine although they’re not up yet. It’s a lot of fun. Her regular blog is also wonderful. Here it is: Playing With Your Food!

ETA: first on six!

Nava, don’t ask me why but after reading the two bears’ posts one after the other in relation to my dirty-minded misread of swampy’s earlier post, that little old song just popped into my head (with some slightly dirtier lyrics)!

As for polar bears, what do they do without woods? Where do they sh*t? No trees to hide behind, forced to bare (snerk) their butts on the cold open tundra, open to the elements and the inconsiderate stares of other, lesser forms of wildlife!

LiLi, yayyyyy for baby sleeping!!!

Thanks, LiLi. That should keep me busy for the rest of the day.

Load one of laundry is in. Ariel actually crawled into my lap to snuggle for a bit, though after about 10 minutes of head scritches she decided that she once again hates me thoroughly. She’s now grooming herself from head to toe to remove all traces of Teh Hooman from her fur.

This just in: Interview! With HR! For the job I wanted but was being ignored for! OMG! Not enough exclamation points for this!!!

Gulp. Interviews never go well for me when I really really want the job. I get all nervous and stammery and stuff.

YAY Muppet!!!

Really? I thought I ran on a bit too much. No one ever accuses me of being succinct! Thanks!

Eh… he didn’t want to go, and neither did any of my coworkers. So no Shakespeare for me this week. Oh well.

McUne, I think you may have just inspired me to go home and make more of those brownies tonight too!

I saw a bluebird this morning! Yay for spring!

Actually, I changed my mind. I think I have everything I need at home to make Haze’s Lesbian Chocolate Gingerbread. I think I’m going to have to make that tonight.

cb emergency fwuck… I am intrigued!

Howdy Y’all! I’m at mom’s waitin’ for her to get back home from her chair aerobics class (I have no idea what that is) so we can go lunch and rescue twuck. The weather is supposed to be nasty by mid afternoon so I wanna be outta here by then. The weather radar shows red and yellow stuff all over Alabammer headed this way. Hope it does this at home. I need rain at da cave.

Ok, gonna get off’n here now.

Bye Y’all!

Dinner for us last night was roughly equivalent, but without that whole heat up the house with the oven thing. It was:

Place a call
Drive a bit
Exchange cash for pizza
Return home
Eat

It was 93 degrees at 7:30 PM yesterday. I cringe to think what it will be today. <looks at Wunderground> Oy, 83 already and it’s not even 9 AM. We probably won’t even want to heat up the house from the friction of my finger on the phone dial tonight. Question is - where to escape to?

Funny you should mention knees. My left knee reached up and poked at me this morning as if to say “I still haven’t forgotten that surgeons have been inside me twice.” first time was to do something to ligaments and clean up some munched-up cartilage. Second time was more cartilage-trimming, IIRC. (Both operations were 20+ years ago.)

Rescue fwucks, eh? I’m intrigued and wish to subscribe to that newspaper.

Thanks for the link, LiLi!

Must do stuff today. :: pokes self ::

Yayyyyy! The weekend is here!

Not much more to add, but HRH says HI!!!

Plants have been checked, no water needed, laundry has been done and even folded, cookie dough has been made, I’m all showered and ready for work. Cookies will be made tonight when I’m done working. I love my 4 hour shifts. I hope I’m needed in class though. Lately I really haven’t been.
