Weird Outlook problem

I’m telecommuting today, so I’m on the Mac; but this happens at the office (PC) too. Strangely, it doesn’t seem to happen often; and I’m at a loss as to what’s occurring.

There are a number of email contacts set up in Outlook. After the first time I receive an email from one of them, the To: field is automatically filled or I’m offered a list when I begin typing the address. For example, I’ll type ‘k’ and the field will be filled with Kathy Jones and her address.

But there’s this one person. Let’s call her ‘Myra Sportscar’ of ‘ABC Corp’. She’s in the Contacts. When I compose a message I start her name by typing an ‘m’ and I get ‘Myra Sportscar <albrightbusinesscards@abccorp.com>’. I could also type ‘ab’ (the start of the actual email address) and get the same result.

The weird thing that happens is that if ‘Myra’ sends me an email, Outlook seems to ‘forget’ who Myra is. I’ll type ‘m’ in the To: field, and Outlook won’t bring up the address. If I type ‘ab’, the address comes up. In the Outbox it shows ‘Myra’ in the To: column. But it refuses to acknowledge ‘m’ when I type it into the address field.

After a couple/few weeks it reverts to normal. This problem only occurs with this one individual.

How do I make the autofill work for this person without having to wait for Outlook to decide it wants to play nice?
