Sometimes, on my way somewhere else, I come across something weird or downright bizarre on the internet. I store the URLs in a file devoted to such stuff.
Over the weekend I came across this weird stained glass-or-enamel-looking Christmas ornament that depicts Jesus snuggling with an opossum. Gog (and I suspect only God) knows why:
Weird or downright bizarre, you ask? I have three words, one of which is the odd one out:
“Gay dinosaur porn”.
Yes, GG renderings of gentlemen getting jiggy with a male tyrannosaurus’ cloaca. (many years ago, long before you could just tell an AI to fulfill your specific fetish, so not only did someone have that kink, he created a number of images… and shared them for all mankind)
Rule #34 "There is porn of it. No exceptions.”, sometimes rendered as “If you can think of it, there is porn of it”.
Another possibility is that someone had that particular kink and hired an artist to depict it.
I have artist friends who did some of this. The customer would send incredibly detailed descriptions of what he was looking for, sometimes with photos or clippings illustrating what he was after. You can learn a lot about human psychology from this stuff.
Of course, now there’s AI, so anyone can arrange to get anything they want. Although I’ll bet that a thorough search of sites like DeviantArt is likely to turn up something close to what you might be after.
Jesus is depicted as eating a guinea-pig in this Peruvian wall-painting from 1753
I suppose it is better to snuggle a South American mammal than eat it.
Well, opossums are known for “playing dead” and, according to the Bible, Jesus played dead until Easter Sunday. Perhaps that has something to do with it.
Yesterday I saw a Facebook post about someone finding a copy of A New Star Trek A (volume three) self-published (on loose-leaf with a staple in the upper left corner) by Gary Wayne Stevens
Jesus had no fodder. He’s his own fodder, since he sired himself. Sure there’s a Devil. Didn’t Jesus come from a deviled egg? Fodder & Son, but the Holy Ghost is not fantasy. Pardon me while I vomit on the planet.
I watch a lot of videos of Japanese garage bands. This led me to watch some Japanese go-go dancer videos. For about a month the YouTube algorithm flooded me with videos like the following:
