Welcome back, Dr. House: 4/28

I hate CTB and I hate her with Wilson. In fact, I’ve named this whole little triangle WAH since that is how they make me feel when they are together.

Yes, for the next three weeks, then I think that’s all the shows they have planned for the rest of the season.

Thanks to House, I have a new line to use on Jehovah’s Witnesses.

“Have you heard the good news?”
“Miley Cyrus is playing a third night at the Spectrum?”

Did anyone see the preview? Who is the actor who’s going to be on next week’s ep? I recognize him but I cannot think of his name or where I know him from, and it’s bugging me.

ETA: Forget it… I remembered.

It’s Jason Lewis, the guy who played Kim Cattrall’s character’s young hot boyfriend Jerry in Sex and the City.

I don’t see why the wife was so worried. They fell in love and were married before he went to the Peace Core, right? I mean…that’s why he was arguing with the doctors about the syphilis. He was gone all that time (probably the occasional visit home, but still gone for months at a time at least) but was confidant she didn’t cheat on him.

So if he was married to her before (or at least seeing her,) AND was nice enough before to join the Peace Corps, then he is STILL a nice person at heart, just not too nice.

And for those wondering why niceness was a symptom, it’s because the parasite just causes brain damage (swelling, I think tehy said,) which in turn causes personality changes. In his case, it increased part of his existing personality. It could just have easily made him a jerk, or to lose his sense of humor, etc…

I don’t know, if a UPS guys rams a dolly into my shins and my husband’s response is to give him a hug, I might be a bit irked at his “niceness.” Didn’t she admit she’d had some affairs, because his niceness was so irritating?

Remind me again…CB was one of his minions, who wouldn’t put up with his crap?

It’s rare for a Peace Corps volunteer to go home during their stint. They have to pay both ways (on a meager salary*), and most would rather spend their free time visiting in the area they’ve been assigned.

*While in country, a volunteer gets paid the going local rate for the job they are doing.

I didn’t think he was a Peace Corps volunteer - I thought they said Habitat for Humanity.

This reminds me of a question I had. Is that “we have a legal right to hold you up for 15 seconds” factual? I’ve never been in a union so am not familiar with what goes on during strikes.

I heard the patient say Peace Corps. I think later someone else commented on him building homes for the less fortunate but I’m pretty sure the actual patient said Peace Corps because that’s what set my brain to thinking it was some exotic disease.

And isn’t UPS unionized? You’d think he’d be sympathetic.

You’d think so…but I just wrote it off as “he’s a douchebag”. When he rammed her shin, my first thought was “UPS guy with an anally inserted dolly cart…not much of a mystery for House to solve there…”

What a lame episode. Where is the House who didn’t mind spending christmas alone, and who didn’t even want Wilson in his poker game?

Oh, come on, I haven’t been watching *House * all that long and even I know that one.

House is typical Dog in the Manger. When Wilson is free, House could care less. When Wilson’s distracted by a ball-busting bitch, House gets mopey.

I disagree. First, House does normally enjoy Wilson’s company, so he is not really equivalent to hay.

Second, he is going about it in a rather un-Housy manner. Why would he Agree to voluntary hospital duty punishments, for instance.

Averse. Me, too.

My favorite line of the episode was House saying “That should have been my epiphany.”

No, he wants Wilson around when *he * wants him around. I haven’t seen all the episodes, but was there ever a time when Wilson needed him and House dropped everything to rush to his side? I don’t think letting him move in when his wife kicked him out counts…House was totally passive-aggressive toward him, stealing his food, not doing the dishes, expecting Wilson to cook, etc.

Still waiting for Fox to post this episode on their website.

I wondered if that was SD’s Hugh Jass that complained about the same thing in their comments section.
