It’s been a good week for the SDMB. Nonpolar got banned, and Scylla’s back. The average IQ here has probably gone up by 100 points. I do the dance of joy.
Welcome back.
How’s the Angel of Death?
Good to have you back, Scylla.
You probably can’t tell it by this thread or anything, but lots of us are very happy to see you again.
Welcome back aboard! You were missed.
Bah Scylla’s back and Cecil hasn’t welcomed him back. Sometimes I think Cecil has gone and forgotten us all.
Welcome back, Scylla. Glad to see you posting again.
There once was a Doper named Scylla
Whose serial tales were our thrilla.
He dropped out of sight.
We wept! Then one night
He was back! Of the Straight Dope a pilla!*
:: cues dancing girls, brass band, confetti, champagne fountain, carpet of rose petals, and barbecued fatted calf ::
*Sometimes a New England accent is a GOOD thing.
Nice to see your name again, and not in the Pit. Ya know, i just can’t seem to remember where you went. Can anyone fill me in?

Jeez, no one cleans up my typos.
Well, it is a good news, bad news kind of deal.
The bad news: is that it seems that he hanged around in the free republic cave, I mean web site…
The good news, is that it seems that he saw the light, and he is back in the SDMB sun!
(you need to read Plato’s republic to get what I am saying)
Scylla!!! Mmmwwwah! Mmmwwwah!
(If being “mmmwwwahed” by a complete stranger doesn’t freak you out, that is…)
I’m glad to see he’s back, too.
I started a thread in his absence, marking Scylla’s passage.
Joy, joy!
What a nice thread to find!
Thanks guys. I appreciate the warm welcome.
Well, how is the Angel of Death?
I don’t usually post to threads like this (all right, I don’t post to much of anything), but in this instance, I can’t resist. Scylla’s posts were one of the things that got me hooked on this board, and I was bummed when he stopped posting. This really brightens up my day. Welcome back, Scylla.
I rarely post to threads like this too, but I’m happy to for Scylla. I have no idea where he’s been or for how long, but I’m glad he’s back.
Pretty good. She’s been working out hard since the baby and is looking and feeling good. The toughest part is that she’s chosen not to work and stay with the kids full time. It means they have a full time Mommy and no day care, but it’s tough stuff on her. Once during the week and once on the weekend she takes a three hour break from the kids (as long as you can go when you’re nursing) and goes and plays mean tennis against a pro and comes back happy and dripping with sweat (No funny comments, kay?) So she’s doing good.
Glad to hear that.
(BTW, I mailed the anti-aircraft gun, where’s my stuffing?)
Good to see you again, Scylla!
Ain’t dat the trooth.
