I agree- I think MOST of Tiger’s on-the-course problems would be just as pronounced even if he were a model husband and family man.
I love the goattee. It makes him look like Tiger Woods’ evil twin.
A fantastic article about why so many pro athletes in general go broke is here. For those too busy to read the whole thing the reasons it gives are
–financially illiterate men who rely on friends or relatives rather than financial professionals
–spending on flashy (but risky) investments like clubs and restaurants rather than more boring investments like blue chip stocks
–bad divorce settlements (sound familiar)
–a desire to keep up your appearances rather than admit you are financial trouble and plan accordingly.
