Well, Somebody's Gotta Do The MMP

Release the Brussels sprouts casserole and steak tartare!

Well, I did decide to get the ground beef today, simply because I was already out and around (turns out the sale price would have still been good next week when I could have gotten the triple points. Oh well). Found a reasonable pair of sneakers at Goodwill for $10 (found another pair I liked better, but I’m not paying $25 for thrift store shoes. I can find brand new for less), got my book picked up on the second try (first try, there was NO available parking).

Pfft!!! Go ahead, rub it in. This week is my Spring Break, too.

Where is Bobbio when I need him?? I need one of his letters!

In the last couple of months I took one vacuum cleaner to be repaired and another one needed a part ordered because it was missing. I brought them home and a day after they came home the repaired one broke a belt. I went back and bought some belts. We put the new belt on and within 10 minutes the vacuum started smoking and the belt broke again. Then, because I was desperate and it was right before the HFUNs were coming to town, I tried using the other vacuum but it was broken as well.

I took both broken machines back to the store but unfortunately I had no receipt. The repair man said that the one that he had just fixed was basically a worthless piece of junk. WTF? Why couldn’t he have figured that out the first time around? :dubious: The other vacuum could be repaired so I said go ahead, but I’d like a discount because of the first repair. Fast forward to today, we brought the fixed machine home last week and my mom tried to use it today. Sixty dollars* later (after the discount) the damn thing is doing the exact same thing that it was before!!! :smack::mad: Thank goodness that the place closed 30 minutes before I discovered this. Grrrr
*Yes, I know I could buy a cheap one for only $100 but I really like this one and he said that the problem was only due to lack of maintenance on my part which I would surely rectify in the future.

I’m logging off - try to get along without me.

We are officially without adult supervision

::flings coaster out window:::eek:

Jim

What’s this we shit, kimosabe?
I don’t eat stuff that is mooing; if it’s kilt & COOKED, mmmmmmm, nummy.

Climbed big building this morn, twice, then went to bar to collect hardware.

Spaz, I has a canister vacuum. When I remove the canister there’s dirt in the base. I took it outside & tried to vacuum that up but it won’t work w/o the canister attached; therefore I need a vacuum to vacuum my vacuum. :smack:

Sticky, that sucks. HA HA HA HA HA! Get it? Vacuum cleaner problems…SUCK!!! I crack me up sometimes.

I wish everyone would agree on universal spring break. OSU’s was week before last. It’s next week for a lot of schools. For my son’s high school, it’s the following week.

Was just browsing through the news on the USA Today app on my iPad. Guess whose meteor video was on the front page? Can’t figure out how to link, but maybe I can take a pic… Off to explore.

So they’re goin’ free range? :stuck_out_tongue:

In other news, productivity has continued at da cave. I ironed shirts! Not all of 'em but I ahrned!

It will annoy him, Roomba Breath.

Is your Spidey Sense on the wrong channel again?

Sets Raid phaser to “Emasculate.”

Stately Agony Aunt Manor has been defilthified. I even cleaned the refrigerator! Laundry’s been done, sinuses have been offended somehow. Vacuum is a bit less stinky after vacuuming up half of the baking soda. Half of it is still in my carpet, but that’s okay. It’ll freshen the carpet.

I may hit the hay early tonight. I’s tahrd, as **swampy **would say.

Kimosabe means “faithful friend”.

Boy, have you got it wrong!

Irked, came home. Dinner.

I ended up in Labor and Delivery again last night but all is well. They gave me the terbutaline shots again and sent me home. We got home at 3am. Snuck in about 3 hours of sleep before getting up and driving two hours to my husband’s taekwondo tournament. He got two 1st place trophies and one 3rd place trophy. I was so proud of him, it was his first tournament. The I got home and took a nap before going to a Bunco get together a friend of mine from work invited me to. She couldn’t make it due to a migraine, but I went anyway and invited my MIL to come with me. I had a great time, and they invited me to come back. I know I should rest, but I feel so much more accomplished when I do things then just sit around with my feet propped up.

Up early with idiot dog - she’s been fed and has been out a few times. I’m thinking of caging her up again and going back to bed for a little longer. We’ll see…

Daughter is coming over with Cozmo - he’s 3 years old today! I’ve got makin’s for flatbread pizza, and some time today, I’ll do some laundry. That’s the plan.

Other than that, it’s below freezing out and we have one bag of pellets left. Had this been a normal spring, we’d be good. But it’s a late winter, so we’ll just rely on the furnace for the rest of the cold. Such is life.

Happy Sunday!

Did anyone get the license plate number of the truck that just ran me over?

I spent most of the day and night yesterday getting ready to cater a baby shower brunch today. Now I am up getting ready to bake the french toast. After I deliver I’m going over to hang out with the HFUNs for a bit as well. Should be a good day, if I can stay awake.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 60 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 79 and storms all mornin’. However, tomorrow’s high will be 58. :dubious: I reckon this is the infamous “Easter Cold Snap.”

Today is Palm Sunday and the start of Holy Week. Thus at deheathenization we get to start off wavin’ palm frond thingys and sayin’ “Hosanna” and end with the readin’ of The Passion Gospel and bein’ all somber. Then we go eat N.O.L. MOG has invitated us to the good seafood place. YAY!

Have fun today StickyBuns!

Sticky thoughts for Apes and the Apelet.

Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. At some point purtification for deheathenization must also commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Blurf.

I got up late today, well I went to bed late last night after watching a film called “The Master” which is apparently loosely based on L Ron Hubbard and the beginnings of scientology. It just confirms that those folks are completely bonkers. Anyway, long film so didn’t get to bed until 1am.

Cats have been fed, they took a look out at the snow and decided there was nothing for it but to retire to their favourite snoozing spots and settle down for the day. I have a bunch of little jobs to do today so I will be getting on with them, might go and play with Igor in the kitchen later too. Or I could save that for tomorrow since I won’t be working. Stoopit HR is now officially on Teh List, my agency is trying to sort things out but I have a list of other agencies to speak to as well so that will be tomorrow’s plan.

Of course, I will not be aiming to actually go anywhere, since there’s far too much snow on the ground. I am bored with it now. somebody please make it stop!

I meant it as in the story where The Lone Ranger & Tonto are walking thru the valley when they look up to the left & see 100 Indians in war paint. They a glance to the right reveals 200 more Indians, also in war paint.
The Lone Ranger turns to Tonto & says, “We’re in it deep, Tonto.”
Whereby Tonto’s reply is, “What’s this ‘we’ shit, Kimosabe”
