Have started approximately 4 billion seeds. OK, not really: some tomatoes, some peppers, some herbs, and some flowers. We’ll see how they do.
3 loads of laundry are done.
Am heading outside now to do more gardening. Yay!
Back later.

Home to tend to the critters. No piddle spots on the carpet, so YAY!
FCD’s color is much better, but after refusing pain meds all day, he was in agony by about 4, so he had some percocet. I swear, for an intelligent man, he’s such a dummy sometimes!
He’s been up and walking a little. And anyone who has been surgicalized knows they won’t let you leave till your bladder and bowels do their thang. Unfortunately, the pain killers are all binding, so a laxative may be forthcoming… poor baby. I don’t expect him to be released tomorrow. So I’ll spend another day in a stuffy hospital room. I’ve made a bunch of crocheted squares, tho, and the bagels I brought in were much appreciated.
Anyway, just wanted to touch base. I’m heading back to the land of the sickies. Laterz!!!
In a move that surprised even me, I tore down half of my pumphouse today, something I’ve been threatening to do for 5 years running. Why only half? My truck is full of the debris to date.
VWife and I went to a Cracker Barrel for brekkies this morning, and the service was so bad we got comped on our ticket. Ha and rumph.
Mostly now I’m procrastinating getting my taxes done. This is the one aspect of spring I loathe…
Tell Daaaaaaaaaaad that refusing pain meds means not that he’s studly, but instead a dickhead.
What VBob said, FCM. He needs to stay on top of the meds so the pain doesn’t get away from him. Pain meds are a good thing when you need them. (Glad he’s doing fine except for being stubborn!)
Irk is over for the week. Yay!
The fridge is here! The fridge is here! Woo and hoo!
I’m glad FCD’s surgery went well. I third the consensus - tell that man to stay on top of his meds!
Read all and retained little…
Hugs, smooches and butt pinches to all!
Good steak. Good wine(s). Good friends. Da bear likes life right now.
Company just left. Yeah, I know, it’s nine p.m. We are such party animals! It was a nice evening of just chillin’ and havin’ fun with friends. Then again the “evening” started at four o’clock. Five hours is enough fun for anybody I say. Plus I’ve been up since about 3:20 a.m. So There!
I fourth (or is it fifth?) Daaaaaad takin’ those pain meds as needed. I’ve been known to try and tough it out myself but still, if’n it hurts and I can get 'em I say gimme them meds!
On that note, I shall go check out a couple things on facebook and go beddy bye.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Waiting for TH to go do taxes instead of watching some Coast Guard rescue show set in Alaska.
I wanna watch bad TV, but can’t until he stops watching his bad TV. I had a very busy and productive day in the garden. Dayum but there’s a lot to do.
Missed the last hockey game of the season, but went to the airport to welcome the players home(The new guys really liked it). Now I gotta find something to do in the off season.
swampy, my friends I must be getting old, we left the bar at midnight.
[Southpark]FCD, drugs are good, m’kay?[/Southpark]
Hi! I’m about to shower and head back to the hospital. I’ll check in laterz… <yawn>
Ditto on the pain meds fcd. Besides, mooooooom said so!
Good job on the pump house, bobbio. Saw the pics on Facebook. Will you be replacing it with a new and improved version?
Spring is sprunged for sure. You would not believe how much oak tree shmootz there is everywhere. There is new growth on the baby pear tree, and the Avacado tree has dropped it’s leaves and has new buds. Who knew Avacado leaves did that?? The orange tree is covered with flowers and smells divine! The Confederate Jasmine will be next.
I made stuffed peppers for din-din last night. They were very tasty I use V-8 juice for sauce which IMO is far superior to plain tomato sauce. Tonight will be steak on the grill a la swampy.
Altogether a beautiful weekend.
Tupug
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ on what promises to be a beautiful day. The best thing is it looks like the *%#$@! pine pollen has almost played out.
That’s all I got for now. Rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Thus I shall forage.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Afternoon, all! It’s my last day of holiday before going back to work tomorrow. Bah!
Yesterday was good - I had my eye test and things are largely fine, my distance vision has improved slightly but my close vision has deteriorated very slightly and the optician felt it was finally time to have new specs. I’ve had my old ones on the same prescription for 9 years so that’s not bad going. I had arranged to meet 'im indoors for lunch so I didn’t have time to sort out new specs, I will have to go back and do that later once I’ve found out if work will contribute to the costs since they’re necessary for VDU stuff.
After that, we went to the butcher’s but they didn’t have rib-eye steaks. Instead we bought some Scottish hip-bone steak which was very good. It was seasoned, thrown on the pan and fried along with onions and mushrooms, and served with bearnaise sauce. He was going to do some peas as well but he forgot.
Today we have been out for a short run in the park. Yes, us. Exercise. I know, it’s a lot for you to take in all at once. The park is about 1 mile in circumference and has a path all the way round the outer edge which is good for jogging. So that’s what we did - not all the way, of course, it was our first time. We alternated jogging and walking between the gates so we got a good mix of exercise. We only made it round once because he was complaining about his back, but we will have another go at it later. I can’t go every day but since he’s not working, there’s no reason why he can’t do it regularly, and I’ll tag along when I can.
So this afternoon I am making cheesecake, lazing on the sofa and waiting for a friend to let me know whether we are leafleting today or on Thursday. Then tonight I will be making chilli for dinner. But right now I am going for a bath, and then I will be having yummy salad for lunch.
Up, caffeinated, off to work.
That sounds pretty, Puggy. I’m so envious of your avocado and orange trees!
You and 'im indoors? Exercise? Same sentence? I’m in shock.
MMP message to FCD: Pain meds are really important in helping you heal properly. Take 'em!!!
Need to do my taxes today as well. And do more work in the garden. But first, it’s off to church, brunch and gardening at church.
Back later.

MMP message to FCD: Pain meds are really FUN! Take 'em!!!
Good morning everyone.
Add my voice to the chorus re: the pain meds, FCM!
We had a great time at our friends’ place last night, but then again, we always do. The fact that my baby sis got to meet these people and find out how wonderful they are made it even better.
The nephew’s BBQ on the other hand, well, let’s just say the time passed very slowly. We were polite though and didn’t just eat and run.
Today, we’re going to my daughter’s place. Other than some laundry, I totally plan to relax.
swampy, tree sex is incredibly messy. We haven’t gotten there yet. It’s not as bad up here but there’s a fair number of evergreens around so we get some. And then there’s the cottonwood fluff that will be everywhere. White stuff falling, no matter what time of the year.
snowbunny we have South Jawja Snow here in September. When cotton is harvested and taken to the cotton gins little bits of it fall of the trucks haulin’ it to the gins and are all over the sides of the roads. Little pieces of white cotton everywhere!
I have deheathenated and lunched. Lunch consisted of hamburgers (left from Firday’s grillin’), Friggin’ Good N.O.T. from last night and some fresh steamed broccoli and carrots. Not too shabby if’n I do say so myself.
Now I shalll take some Benadryl[sup]TM[/sup] and nappy poo. My sinuses are achy.
Given that it’s sort of a group thing, does tree sex turn the woods into an orgy?
