We're late, we're late! A Monday Afternoon MMP

delightful!

Actually, Haze, for the intensely observant, there are four seders - nights 1, 2, 7, and 8. So if IBF is home by the weekend, someone might be holding a seder on Sunday or Monday.

(btw - the Last Supper was most likely a seder)

Glad you liked the Peeps, rigs and rosie. Pretty amazing, aren’t they?

Hope things start to look up soon, Taters.

Off to beddie bye…

I’m a soul mannn…
</Blues Brothers>

I’m now the owner of a 2010 Soul!. Or should I say I’m the happy owner of a 2010 Soul!? The typography gets weird as the ! is part of the vehicle’s name. If spoken, it’s a “Soul Exclaim.” Color is “Java” and the upholstery is mercifully not searing vermillion red like what’s in some of the models.

Yay!

I thought you had to exchange your firstborn if you wanted a new soul.

rosie, he comes back Monday early afternoon, but we haven’t seen each other in over a month so I imagine we’ll want to spend Monday evening on our own.

No firstborn yet…

When I wash it, will I be purifying my soul?

PSA:

As much as we joke about drinking alcohol around here, real alcoholism isn’t funny.

I just got back from taking a repeat patient in the advanced stages of alcoholism to the hospital after having a seizure. She literally hasn’t eaten or drank water for five days, and was building to a suicide attempt. :frowning:

If you are alcoholic and/or depressed, get help.

End PSA. Time for bed.

It’s late. I’m worried. Business is terrible because of the holiday. I have a plan for the future in place but the right now kinda sucks. :frowning:

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN

{{{taxi}}} I’m so sorry for the loss of your godmother. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Congrats on the new wheelz gotti. Kias are now made in ye olde hometowne. A Kia plant opened up there last year.

Rosie backatcha! You’re right, The Last Supper was most likely a Seder, bein’ as it happened during/around Passover.

Tonight we’re havin’ an Agape Supper at church. The idea is that this was one of the ways Early Christians worshipped. I’d google that for y’all 'cept I don’t want to. So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins, smooches, how you doin’s as needed.

Time to feed rumbly tummy and purtify.

Happy Wednesday Y’all!

(((((taxi))))), sounds like your godmother was a wonderful lady and I’m sure you will feel better for being able to attend the funeral.

(((((taters))))), sorry to hear that worth sucketh so much. My job is the opposite, it’s good when it’s good but right now it’s boring because I have so little to do.

Haze, when IBF gets home I don’t suppose you’ll be seeing much of the outside world for a while!

gotti - congrats on the new motor, I didn’t vote on your choice but I’d have gone for the Kia too.

'im indoors was making stock when I came home, from a recipe in his fancy new book of Chinese cooking secrets. Thus we had soup last night as a starter which added massively to my syn level for yesterday and I hadn’t accounted for it so I will have to ask him next time to warn me beforehand when he intends to do that. It was very nice soup but it had oil and suchlike in it which all counts towards Fat Club syns and I’d already allocated 8 of my daily allowance of 15 towards the rest of his usual Tuesday night dinner.

Today it’s pub night so that’s something to look forward to. Our usual companions are on holiday this week so we’re abandoning our normal pub schedule and just going to the place round the corner from home. It’s my turn to cook tonight so I have declared we shall have bangers and mash.

Memo.

To: whomever sent the snow.

Kindly take it back.

Kthxbye.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. hockey tonight.

Ensconced in Cubeville, downing caffeine. I can haz coffee IV?

Must have some kind of hibernating gene. Got really good sleep, but need so much more of it… Lovely spring day here; supposed to be 70 and sunny. Ahhhhhh.
More later. Off to work now.

I’m kinda scared of my kids growing up and thinking this about me, because in almost every respect, I’ve done the heavy lifting, including pushing them hard at school. And then daddy comes in and gets to be “fun daddy”. I’m not trying to diminish your dad’s contributions, hopefully he doesn’t have the issues my ex does, but there’s probably tons of invisible things your mom did for you that you didn’t notice at the time.

I knew Kia had a big plant in GA - it’s funny how more and more “import” cars are being built right here in the US, and more “American” cars are being made elsewhere.

I’ve got a “Korean” car that was designed in California and made in Georgia, and an “American” pickup made in Mexico. Go figure…

Oh, and the Kia could just about fit inside my truck. After driving a RAM 2500 for so long, this thing is zippy.

Now, I just need to stumble off to the food court to fill my cup with about three hours’ worth of sleep.

{{{taxi}}}. She sounds like a wonderful person.

gotti got sooooul!

My parents tried their darndest to keep me motivated at school but I was too much of a dreamer. But I know they loved me, and really, that’s all that counts.

I think my interview went very well. There was much congeniality. I was told there were only two of us in the running and they would make a decision in the next couple days. I’m trying not to get my hopes too high but I really would like this job.

Well, off to JC Penney to exchange Mr. Anachi’s birthday gift.

Tupug.

Thanks for the hugs. I am going to miss Aunt Dot something fierce even though I haven’t seen her very much since I moved out here almost 4 years ago. She was just such a quiet strength. She was much less negative and less judgmental than my mother. Don’t get me wrong, I love my mother and love spending time with her. But she does tend to be a pessimist and think that people are idiots. Which they are. But it was always nice to spend time with Aunt Dot who had a much kinder outlook on people. Between the two of them, they gave me a balanced view of the world: Mom kept it from being too rosy, while Aunt Dot kept it from being too gloomy.

Yay for the new car, gotti. Sounds like a good choice!

It hit 70 here yesterday and may be in the upper 70s today. Most of our department is going to cut out early for happy hour out on a patio at a nearby bar/restaurant. Sounds good to me!

Love the peeps!

{{{{{{taxi}}}}}} - you’re in my thoughts and prayers.

Nice to see you again, Shadow, and very nice little car!

OMG, I had forgotten about the peeps this year, and boy were they as good as ever. LOL The pics, I mean, not the ones I’ve et! I need to take another look at them, one where I can slow down the slides!

Congrats on the new Kia, gotti!

Happy Hump day.

Work is getting crazy again. I guess it’s because we never seem to plan for the 4-5 days off and semi-off around Passover…
