Queuing: You misspelled “I don’t understand the math”. Assuming we can rely on pimaspinner’s role-claim as a Beat Cop, we still can’t rely on his identification of anyone bar a vanilla townie or vanilla scum. Unique roles will appear much more often as false positives than true. Only common roles have a worthwhile chance of being identified correctly.
…Which is probably just as well for pimaspinner or he would have some serious ‘splainin’ to do round about now.
I’m feeling rather brain-drained. I don’t believe I’ve ever actively participated in any thread this long, much less one that requires so much checking and rechecking.
Well, I just got done reading the entire thread. I was waiting for the call on that demo job over at Ceciltown and had to sit by the phone, so I figured what else to I have to do with four hours?
There’s actually some laughs to be had in the early going, and when I say laughs I mean the kind of laughs you get fifteen minutes after you stub your toe really hard and the tears are dried up. There’s a fair number of now-fallen citizens with suspect lists consisting of mostly other soon to be fallen citizens.
At any rate, in #2355brewha says something I found interesting. He points a mighty quick FOS at our now departed Doc on the basis that he lived through that night. I know JSexton’s identity is known now firmly only in hindsight but a test of his medical prowess or at least further deliberation would have been a less rash path.
I have suspected brewha on the basis of quickie accusations before and am willing to do so again now.
I am completely without ideas at this point. I’d have to go through the thread again to look for suspicious activity, and I don’t have the energy at this point.

I didn’t follow the last game very closely, but I do remember people commenting it in this thread. The comments were to the effect that in the last game, a town strategy was to lynch lurkers because they were scum who were trying to lay low. The problem, in the last game, was that the town kept lynching citizens. Well, this isn’t last game. The first couple days had FoSs flying around like kamakazi pilots.
Well, this isn’t the last game. I think Rysto 's right, we need to start investigating those with less than, say, 50 posts to the thread. I am not saying that we should start a bandwagon with this post aimed at cowgirl , and tomorrow at hocow. What I am saying is that there is a very real chance that those in the lower quartile of posters are scum (or even the SK, as it’d be in his/her interest to peak as little town suspicion as possible). We still have around 40 hours, let’s see if we can get some of those people to explain themselves.
The thread has slowed down considerably from the first few days. Not being able to catch up is no longer an excuse.
OK since I don’t have anything else to go on, and to get a dialogue started about who we should lynch, I’m going to vote brewha on the basis of his not wanting to delay the countdown. It seems as good a reason as any to start with. Mafia, knowing that **Autolycus ** was not the Godfather would want to end the day as fast as possible on the momentum that was building.

Cuz he (she?) has more than once announced a votechange purely to disassociate himself (herself?) from another player. Also because he’s made a point of announcing his postcount. It just feels like he’s yelling “Look at me! I’m not lurking!”
Uh, when the post count issue came up, I wanted to make damn sure I was represented correctly. And I made a joke out of it, which as we all know is the worst possible thing to do in this game (right Auto?) Also, since I’ve pointed several FOS at people I felt were waving their “I’m a townie” banner too strongly (and to my recollection, they’ve turned out to be townies), I’m not going to take that too personally. When I’m accused of being mafia because I don’t post enough, and I make a point to post more, I’m not going to sweat then being accused of being a mafia because I post more.
However, I take issue with the next part. As for my voting, are you saying that if you cast a vote, then people you suspect are scum bandwagon it, you wouldn’t try to back off? I make no apologies for unvoting **BlasterMaster ** and **JSexton ** (you know, the Vigilante and the Doctor? – of course, I didn’t know that at the time, but still…!) Your reasoning here is almost as bad as the “holy cow” debacle you thought was really stupid.
No, what I find suspicious is saying you lack the energy to go back through all the posts and three hours later present a lacking-in-anything-substative post that still manages to pull out of context four posts from the 2000-plus we have here. Almost as if it was prepared ahead of time for some reason.
But that’s not enough for me to vote for you…however, call me a she again, and I will…!
There are some questions I want answered, though…Why hasn’t **pima ** posted the results of the investigation? I don’t think I missed it…
Who the hell did **JSexton ** protect last night (guess we won’t know that one until it’s over)?
No, not set up beforehand, but I forced myself to scan through when NAF1138 gave the ending time, because I’m not sure I’ll have much time on tomorrow. (Other people may remember I did that in the last game, too.) That’s about why that post is so short.
It’s not so much the unvoting Blaster Master and JSexton that struck me as off, but rather the following sequence of events (damn, I wanted to avoid all this coding and copying and pasting):
But you were the one to link yourself to Gadarene first, and then accused him of trying to link himself to you, and then voted for him under that reasoning. Strange reasoning, especially since you were just agreeing with him and he was agreeing with you.
I’m re-reading the whole damn thread with a list of proven mafia/proven townie/most-likely townie players in front of me. This is taking a loooong time, but I don’t see what else to do. I’ve still got twenty + pages to go over, but I hope to finish and have something useful to post tomorrow.
In the meantime, can anyone refresh my memory on what happened to the suspicions of Queuing? He’s seems to have gone from one of the most suspected to unnoticed. Was there some good evidence of towniness that I’ve forgotten? Or was it just a disgusted reaction to all the conditionals & factions & claims from our day of infamy?
