Werewolf (Mafia)--The Split [Signups--In progress]

No Lynch (1): Oredigger77
Jimmy Chitwood (1): Telcontar

So how’s that work? Higher score wins between me and nobody?

Until very recently, Jimmy was keeping a fairly low profile. I can’t seem to find a single instance where he stuck his neck out about something. The last two Days he’s really picked up, and I’m finding that to be very odd. My read on this game is that the wolves were coasting for a long time because villagers were doing a good job accusing each other. Now things are really starting to turn against the wolves, so they have to speak up and regain control (it would take remarkably little luck for the villagers to win this fast). Jimmy fits that pattern.

The only point in his favor is that he voted to test** justin**. But, given how quickly** justin **gave up all pretense of being innocent post test, i’m getting the feeling that the wolves considered him a lost cause, so voting against him in the test would be a cheap way to establish town cred.

(Telcontar has replaced his case against Jimmy with a steaming cup of recycled BS that he can’t substantiate or defend. Let’s see if Town notices the difference.

I’m not sure I feel comfortable lynching an untested individual at this point. I mean, we (probably) have the testeriser working for us, and can afford to skip a Day, right? Well, now is the time to cash that in.

A vote for pacifism is a vote for Town!*

No lynch

*I’m making bumper stickers

I might be OK with a no lynch test, but I want to go ahead and make my vote. I may change it later, but here it is.

lynch fluiddruid/Adrian II

You’re were one of the least involved players for the first two thirds of the game. Besides, you look wolfish. I could see tears when justin and EH died. We should send you to join them so you can all be happy together again.

Blood! Blood!

No Lynch (2): Oredigger77, Allwalker
Jimmy Chitwood (1): Telcontar
[Undecided] Adrian the II (1): Mahaloth

Well? A lot of people need to chime in with opinions about the lynch. We can’t let the game dwindle down to minimal conversation just because we are nearing the end.

What does everyone think about the “no lynch” concept for today? Have anyone you want to lynch instead?

Thoughts? Feelings? Anything?

Assuming that there are exactly two Werewolves left, this game has 2 to 3 Days left to run its course (including Today) if we lynch every time and that the Werewolves don’t fail at the kill. The game will end either when we eliminate the last Wolf (by lynching) or when the Wolves equalise numbers, which will happen with a Nightkill.

If we take a single No Lynch, then the Wolf win also happens on a lynch. The advantage of that for the Town is that we get one last use out of the Testerizer before the final lynch.

I’d thus be comfortable with a No Lynch Today.

As for dealing with the problem of the game slowing up as numbers drop and our more loquacious players are killed out, I would suggest shrinking the time between Dawns.

I like the proposal of shortening Days and Nights, I don’t think there is as much to discuss anymore.

I also think we shouldn’t lynch anyone today.

No Lynch.
I don’t want to get killed.

Ummm . . . I know that Tel is pseudo-confirmed town but we think there are two wolves remaining and there are two people who don’t like the no lynch idea. I think mahaloth is rising in my suspicions. Just noticed something interesting and figured I’d point it out.

Oh, come on.

If Tel is pseudo-confirmed as town, then so am I. We both got tested and both came out alphabetical. I was voting fluiddruid because I felt he was the main suspect.

Not anymore, though.

unvote fluiddruid/Adrian II

vote Oredigger

No Lynch (6): Oredigger77, Allwalker, [Undecided] Adrian the II, Jimmy Chitwood, rexnervous, MHaye
Jimmy Chitwood (1): Telcontar
Oredigger77(1): Mahaloth

mahaloth is also pseudo confirmed innocent.

I want to kill primarily because 1.) I don’t think it hurts the villagers as a whole 2.) anything that helps end the game earlier helps my faction 3.) we’re a fragging lynch mob, killing people is what we do.

Anyway, in the even that i’m not around tomorrow i have really good feelings about **rex **and oredigger77, and I trust the test results of mahaloth. That means that, from my perspective, dawn tomorrow would see

Innocent:
Mahaloth
Oredigger77
Rexnervous

Potentially guilty:
Allwalker
[Undecided] Adrian the II
Jimmy Chitwood
MHaye

If I’m right about oredigger77 and** rexnervous** (and people agree i’m right) the game is trivial. Test 1. If not guilty, lynch 2. Next day: test 3, if not guilty lynch 4.

Why Mhaye is less innocent than Oredigger77 and Rex:
Looking at the voting around the death of EH, I noticed that Mhaye was happy to vote for me, but didn’t want to tie it. He said this right before the vote and was definitely around to break any future ties that developed. The aversion to ties makes jack sense, but I’m willing to pass on that per se. Had EH switched his vote twenty minutes earlier (perfectly sensible defensive voting) then mhaye could have swept in and broken the new tie (justifying it by his aversion to ties). EH lives, I die, wolves are in a much better position. It would also reframe the mhaye-justin standoff as wolf wolf, which explains why** justin** was so willing to die and makes** mhaye’**s testerizer analysis look like a bold wolf play. Jimmy broke the **mhaye-justin **tie near the end, which would count in his favor, but only if mhayewasn’t also a wolf.

Anyway, i’d say test jimmy tomorrow. if he’s a wolf deal with him and then take a hard look at mhaye for the next day.

Problems:
Are Rex and Oredigger innocent?
Rex in particular has cast a lot of the right votes. His analysis is almost always on point, and now that we know a few alignments his random pairings for the research task a few days back look solid (known townies investigating known wolves, no conspicuous patterns). Oredigger I’m much less sure about, but he was going after EH long before it was cool. My suspicion of him was largely driven by “why would anyone argue X,” especially around the seeker votes. Looking back, i’m more comfortable putting him in the innocent category than any of the four other plays.

Because there is a no lynch, the day ends…boringly.

Everyone disperses.

Night. No strategy. Day starts Sunday Noon EST, as usual.
