The place is awash. And it’s cold. And there’s snow falling in the mountains to the west of Sydney. Winter is back with a vengeance!
Was watching the drama unfold on the BOM website! This morning it said you had 70mm since 9.00am yesterady. Just a shame that the rain fell on the seaboard and not further out west where it’s desperately needed.
Oh well, not time to put the wellies away just yet…more rain today. 
My gauge at home had almost 80mm this morning.
We got 6 inches in 4 hours here a couple months ago. Roads all over town were flooded out and my garden has never been the same since.
Aren’t you guys supposed to be getting spring?
Parts of Toronto got a month’s worth of rain in two hours a while ago.
Care to send some of that rain my way? We’re dry, and we’ve been dry for far too long.
Indeed. But the weather will warm up again soon enough. In the meantime however there was 20cm of snow last night in the mountains. It’s probably all melted by now.
I believe the very long trough between the two large high’s created the storm, the low was an effect of the storm, not the creator of it.
