As someone who went to a lot of arcades in the 90’s to the mid-00’s I’ve only ever seen this game one time but it made a big impact on my mind.
I saw it in the Mid-00’s but it might have been released earlier than that, late 90’s/early-00’s since it had very bright and colorful graphics, looked kind of like Daytona USA but with more polygons and less artifacting basically. It was a sit-down racing cabinet that was stand-alone.
The gimmick was that you were in a vehicle and had to race to an end goal so it wasn’t a track and each race involved you racing through a city or scenario as part of your job, so a cop car racing to a crime scene, fire truck racing to a blaze, ambulance racing to a hospital. However completing these races unlocked much weirder job related races, such as a tank driving down a town or even an airplane driving on the ground to it’s destination. It was very much a Japanese game, it had that weird “amazing made mundane” style of humor to it.
