Do you have a doctoral dissertation idea yet? How many classes are you taking now and are you living the stereotypical 70 hour graduate student workweek?
Go chemistry.

Craaap, I have a biochem test, too, but it’s next Friday…I better start studying for that this weekend, too. I’m working on an essay for my English class right now and I will spend the rest of today studying and doing homework…or at least, trying to.
I bet I’ve achieved a new low on the critical reading comprehension for the PSATs. :o
I’m in Emporia getting ready for the Meats Judging contest tomorrow. 5+ hours in the meat cooler! Woohoo!
That’s my weeekend. Get up early, freeze my tits off, drive.
I got together with an old college buddy for our anual fall drive. We get together, shoot the shit and renew old friendships. Usually we drive somewhere and look at the fall foliage as well.
Yesterday, I cut the grass, did some laundry, then put a skidplate and power socket on my motorcycle. Oh, and cursed the fact that the motorcycle tires I ordered that were supposed to be here Friday haven’t arrived yet.
Today, I watched the Chinese Grand Prix on tape in the morning, finished the laundry, and planned on watching football the rest of the day but ended up following my wife around the mall holding her purse as she pulled clothes off the rack and explained that while it was cute, she couldn’t wear it because it would make her look fat.
I got out in the yard today and planted 5 golden fern plants and 40 tulip bulbs. A friend told me if you put a moth ball on top of the bulb (I put dirt over the bulb, then the mothball) the squirrels won’t dig them up. I planted 200 glads at the old house and the squirrels got all but about 10 of them. I still have about 50 assorted bulbs to plant but I think I’m going to do some of them in containers.
My back is killing me.
Just got back in a few hours ago. Ms. Nic and I, along with a few friends, went riding today (motorcycles that is) and it was a beautiful day. Here in Central Fla. it has been raining or hot, or hot and rainy. Today was a bit cooler and clear sky’s so it was good to out and riding today.
Hope the OP’s was as nice!
Thanks for the good wishes. It rained this morning, and I got called in to work, so garden walking and mani/pedi fell by the wayside. But I did have dinner with a good friend in a new-to-us restaurant, was pleasantly surprised by the lemon pasta and the wine list, and now I’m going to search for one of the new books I bought a while back, and spend some quality time with it. Maybe crack open a bottle of wine, while I’m at it. All in all, not a bad weekend. It was nice to see what everyone else did (although it did make me feel a bit under-achieving), and I hope everyone’s weekend turned out well.
Saturday, I drove 300 miles to go to a doper meeting that was apparently cancelled without anybody bothering to tell me. Which is all I’m going to say on that subject.
Today I watched football (Go Bills!) and The West Wing and generally goofed off around the apartment.
