What are you going to do with your refund?

Assuming you are even getting a refund.

Me, I’m going to get a SVHS camcorder to record and upcoming vacation and aSVHS VCR to be sure we can watch the tapes. The other half of the money is going in the bank.

What are you going to do with your refund?
I’m going to Thailand! Advice?

Refund? OHHHHHHH, you mean that little chunk of change my Uncle Sam sent me back in February so that I could pay my car insurance?

Assuming the pittance I got was an actual refund, and not some new government perk whereas I get a check every few months, I paid the water bill.

investing it. i have already fixed it so next year i will end up owing. i would rather earn the interest on my money than let the gummit sit on it.

I will be getting a whole $68.00. I plan to convert it into pennies, fill up my bathtub and do the best I can to simulate rolling around in it. WO-HOO !!!

You know… I think about that every year, and think about changing my withholdings… but I’m afraid I’d just spend the money, instead of investing it.

Buying my first piece of non-hand-me-down furniture: a sofa, one with no holes or cat scratches. Yippee for the student loan interest deduction!

Roasting a pig.

Mine’s been spent months ago, mostly on bills. When I’m getting money back, I don’t wait until the last minute.

I will be going to Ciudad Acuña, Mexico this weekend, Longview, Tx within the next month, and Biloxi, Mississippi on July 15th. And that should waste my return pretty thuroughly.

I used to do the same. Now I’m a homeowner and I rely on my brother the former IRS auditor to do my taxes. When I file depends largely on when he can take time away from his business.

Being a chronic insomniac with chronic back problems, among other aches and pains, and being as how my refund is going to be big enough I can afford it,

I’m getting a Tempur-Pedic mattress.

I laid down on one for just a coupla minutes in a store once, and my spine just sort of adjusted itself, and I’ve been wanting one ever since.

I haven’t dared to touch it because I’ve been under a layoff-threat cloud the last few months, and want to use it as an emergency in case I get rained on.

If the clouds part (as I hope they will soon), I’ll probably use it to pay off the rest of my living room set. Then I’ll squirrel away the rest.

I’ll let you know as soon as the damn thing arrives in the mail.

Half of mine went to property taxes and home owners insurance. The other half is stashed as a strike fund. If there is no strike, I get a new truck.

We filed early and got our refund early - and used it to pay our first-quarter estimated tax bill. Somehow it just didn’t feel like a refund that way…

Ear-marked for monthly expenses until I am working again - same with all my other money.

Clothes. I need new clothes badly. Some tops, maybe a skirt or two, some bras and undies and socks.

Bills.
