I’m listening to a random playlist, and the current song is “Here in your bedroom” by GOLDFINGER. The only thing I wish came easier was finding a properly downloadable version of “Man, It’s So Loud in Here” by They Might Be Giants. Oh well.
Right now I am listening to the Beau Hunks music to the Our Gang/Little Rascals shorts. I really wish I could find their recording of Laurel and Hardy music. Comming up next will be Rimskey Korsakovs’ symphony #3
Yes, that’s on the first MFTAGG album, called “Have A Ball”. You can find it most any non-mall record store. Their newest album is impossible to find, but it has badass covers of “Blowin In The Wind” and “Wild World”. My ICQ # is 53865259. I’ll be glad to send you all of the aforementioned songs.
RIGHT now? Nas’s first album (the only one of his I really like). But since I have a professional Dj setup behind me, and a motherload of records, I won’t be on the same thing for very long. I’m thinking an afternoon practice session starting with some reggae and hip-hop. Then I’m going to start experimenting with working in some old swing records my grandfather sent me. I think funk/swing/reggae/hip-hop can be combined to keep the kids dancing all nite. I wanna get it down tight.
Well, do you mean the Less Than Jake song or the Me First song? (Well, I have both on mp3.) I know that MFATGG have albums, (of nothing but covers.) Hmmm…Vermonter, you say? I don’t know where in VT you are, so I’ll assume Burlington area. Try CD Go Round in the Church Street area, or one of the other music places around there. They are more likely to have MFATGG than a chain store. I don’t know if Less Than Jake has that song on one of thier albums, though.
(oh, and right now I’m listening to Live-“Lighting Crashes”, oh wait, it just ended, now it’s Guster-“Like a Prayer”)
John Coltrane, A Love Supreme.
Just finished Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain.
Next up will be Bombay The Hard Way: Guns, Cars And Sitars, a collection of pieces from 60s and 70s Indian “Brownsploitation” flicks, conducted & written by Anandji Kalyanji. If anyone gives a shit.
