What are you watching INSTEAD of the Super Bowl

TINA TINA TINA!!! I’m so happy NBC gave her a full half hour special on TV today. Fuck footbal…they should have the Tina Fey bowl  … I spent the rest of the three hours with the tv off and music blasting as I organized my room.

Watched part of Braveheart on video while folding laundry (yippee).

Watched movies with my Buglet. Stuart Little 2 and Scooby Doo. Rather enjoyable when my kiddo’s reactions were as entertaining as ever. Dave was out in the living room watching the game, and kiddo and I were in the bedroom.

I watched some of Buffy, went to Quizno’s, and messed around on the SDMB.

It was a good afternoon.

DAMN! The game was TODAY???

Actually, I volunteer at the local science museum on most Sunday afternoons - this one of my days. Didn’t get home until just after half-time (west coast time and all) and once I saw the score, I just went back to reading for a while and making dinner.

I filled out a grad school application and surfed the Internet. I looked up the watch the commercials, but I ignored the football game and avoided the pre-game and halftime shows like the plague.

When I realized Braco was replaying its hugely entertaining Gay Weddings, I switched back and forth between that and the game, in the hopes of catching any good commercials

We watched the Dame Edna marathon on Trio… what a hoot!

homework, #sd chat, and the boards. I called home sometime around half-time (according to my family). Thats about it. Going to bed soon, though.

I had a massage at 6pm til about 7:30, then I flipped channels and watched part of LOTR for the 12th time.

What is this “Super Bowl” of which you speak?

Oh, football…I don’t follow sports, or at least no more than I have to (it’s kind of hard not to hear about sports in the US).

I spent the day surfing the net (instead of doing the housework) while my wife caught up the soaps she missed during the week. Then we had the History Channel on - caught part of the Teddy Roosevelt show followed by “XY-Factor” (history of sex), “Mail Call” and “Conquest.”

The Fellowship of the Ring on HBO.

Hard core sports fan reporting:

Trading Spaces.
(And it was even to watch Paige, the cutie hostess. It was just for the damn decorating nonsense)
Kill me now.

I played Morrowind.

Watched Bejing Bicycle, a rented movie. Better than the game, anyways.

I was checking out this board and other web sites, plus I was busy updating my own site. As for TV, I had it on the Game Show Network for most of the day.

Nothing. I was in bed, asleep.

SDMB, then off to the grocery, cleaned up around the house. I built a fire and watched my son play Ghost Recon on Xbox Live, then I saw the Simpsons & Adult Swim.

My husband and my dad played Monopoly Party on the Xbox throughout most of the game. We watched a bit of it here and there. I just happened to be in the room reading another Robert Ludlum book.

Was the Simpsons a new episode? I wasn’t concerned about watching it because I didn’t think they’d be ballsy enough to go up against the game.

Hee hee. I watched “Kung Pow! Enter the Fist!” on Cinemax. That movie is so friggin’ funny. I even did a spit-take at one point, and there was no one home to tell me what an idiot I am.

I went to watch the Two Towers again.
