I multi-tasked. Watched a bit of the game, Outside Providence, High Fidelity, OZ, (then I think this is later) that old Red Shoe Diaries with Matt Le Blanc, planned a menu for a weekend dinner party, and researched a bit more for the old dissertation.
I went over to a friend’s place, met other people, drank wine and listened to techno Bhangra music. Then we went somewhere else, met other people, and drank port.
Social contact!
I went to the movies…saw Chicago.
I was out on Plum Island (Massachusetts) looking for snowy owls. I ran into some pretty serious birders out there with high-powered spotting scopes who managed to spot one atop a telephone pole. I wasn’t able to get any pictures or anything, but at least I got to see one in the wild. I also saw what I think was a long-eared owl. Very cool stuff.
I only just found out how bloody gorgeous he is about three days ago and have yet to catch High Fidelity in its entirety (sp?).
Anyway, I was watching…The Faculty Elijah Wood AND John Stewart.
Life is GOOD!
~Ferry, laughing at the fact that Elijah Wood cannot run around corners.
I watched a bunch of medium and heavy mech take out the puny Davion opposition. Flee in fear before the might of Wild Weasel and his Indeterminate Company!
I watched a play. You know, actual actors in an actual theater.
For the past few years I’ve watched the Superbowl only for the commercials.
But this year man, I didn’t even care that much.
I saw maybe five commercials at most, including the Matrix commercial*.
In the early afternoon there was a surprise birthday party which I intended (we mostly watched Office Space and played the latest Mortal Kombat; surprising for such a high girl:boy ratio), got back just before the game started. Booted up the comp, prolly spent some of the time at the Board and some at Nationstates.net (I’m a loser, but I likes the game). For the next four hours or so I worked on a list of Crap I’m gonna buy off Amazon.
So, how much did Oakland kick Tampa’s puny ass-buccaneer ass, eh?
*Yeah, there’s nothing original at all about that movie. But that’s not gonna keep me from getting excited.
