The strangest thing I ever saw was probably Colonel Sanders x Ronald McDonald. It was japanese of course.
I’m not a big fan of slash as much as I am a fan of boy’s love, but there are some slash stories that really catch my eye. The slash things I like, however, are things that squick a lot of people out. D: I don’t find them sexy in real life, mind you, but in the fantasy setting, they are incredibly hot. That being said, I do enjoy a good Snape/Harry fanfic.
I was a huge gundam wing fan, mostly 1x2 and 3x4. Batman x Robin is awesome for me too and I once read a most delicious Sabertooth x Wolverine that later turned into a Wolverine x Gambit. ::fans self at memory::
Could we mention the authors and titles here so people can google if they so desire? 
Once upon a time, I was involved in a scavenger hunt at my college. One of the items on our list was “Ronald McDonald/Hamburglar”. My group, like so many others, tried submitting pictures, but no, said the committee, the item isn’t “pictures of Ronald slash Hamburglar”, it’s “Ronald slash Hamburglar”.
So one group wrote some “Ronald slash Hamburglar…slash”. I don’t know if they got points for it, but they did get to read it in front of the other teams at the end of the evening. I only remember a few snatches: “meat between your buns” jokes, allusions to Ronald’s big feet, &c. It’s probably still on-line someplace.
Hey Anaamika, my favorite Kirk/Spock writer is jat_sapphire. She also does the only good Starsky&Hutch slash I’ve ever read.
For just general browsing, the SlashPageDatabaseProject is interesting. Some of the links are old but people are still adding to it despite the unupdated appearance. There’s also fanfiction.net but they purged all teh NC-17 fics and the site has a ton of really irritating pop-ups.
When I’m looking for good fics in a fandom, I usually search for “fandom” “slash” and “recs” or “recommendations” and usually find some decent stuff.

Archie is Mr. Kennedy. He was a midshipman with Horatio aboard the Justinian. He had epilepsy, and went floating off in an untended boat during a raid on a French ship, and was in a Spanish prison for awhile, until Horatio also turned up there and they escaped. He’s also the one who lied and said he pushed crazy Capt. Sawyer into the hold when, actually… Horatio did it (In the TV version at least. In the book, I believe it’s more ambiguous).
I haven’t watched those DVDs in awhile. Since I’m not going anywhere today, I think I’ll spend the afternoon with the Royal Navy.

I don’t do slash, only yaoi.
But in that, I’m fairly obscure with my pairings. 13x6, Shido/Cain, Zagato/Innouva, Berkeley Rose/Ryo, 3x8, 5x8, Jecht/Auron/Braska…and the list goes on. I’m a lot more selective with fan fiction now than I was a few years ago. My expectations have skyrocketed, and I can’t find the fics to keep up.
Is there a special term for crossover slash? Because I once read this great story about Sydney Bristow from Alias meeting Max Guevera from Dark Angel. For bonus trivia it had the first reference to the 9/11 bombing I saw in a piece of fiction.
I also remember another great story which had Dana Scully and Clarice Starling assigned to a case together.
Too many fandoms to count, ranging from Andromeda to Yu Yu Hakusho. But this was mostly collected when I was at uni and actually had time to have a life.
