I agree with the Beatles fans thing. I love me some Beatles and have paid way lots to see Paul McCartney multiple times but it does not chap my hinder when someone says “One Direction are bigger than the Beatles” because they are. One Direction are the first foreign band to have an album debut at number one in America. EVER. Ever in the history of time. And their follow up album debuted at number one in 36 countries. David Letterman who hates everyone was flummoxed in awe by them. This does not take away from the Beatles. The Beatles did not have Twitter and Facebook and tumb1r so it’s unfair but there are bands bigger than the Beatles.
I believe the best thing you can teach young kids about how to handle bullies is to fight back - either physically or verbally. I see it as self-defence. Then teach kids the right and wrongs about when to use self-defence.
Coffee is horrible.
I hate, really hate, background music. If I want to listen to music, I will listen to music. If I want to talk to someone, I don’t want to have to raise my voice unnecessarily, or strain to hear them speak, over some droning in the ether.
As I have posted before, I love the way coffee looks, particularly with cream in it. And the lovely warm feeling. And how it makes me feel. And that gorgeous aroma.

There are two reasons I don’t give a fuck on whether bisexuality is inborn or learned. The first and more important is that it’s nobody else’s freaking business whom one chooses to make the beast with two backs, so long as both parties are willing, adult, and not committed to another. The second is that I only have a limited number of fucks to give, so I don’t want to waste them. It’s the same reason I don’t watch THE AMAZING RACE.
It’s true, and others have hinted above, that the U.S. mainland has had no conventional military threats since the War of 1812, though Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam were attacked in WWII. The Philippines could be included, but they never should have been part of the American Empire anyway. In any case, that was the last “threat to freedom.”
Regarding 'Nam vets: Maybe, but there are/were a lot of them in Veterans for Peace and other such organizations. In the big picture, you might be right.

Democrats want to increase the number of Americans on public assistance because those people tend to vote Democrat.
I don’t like to be around gay people (even family members.) It’s not rational but so be it. I don’t hate them or dislike them, it’s just a personal trait of theirs that I can’t identify with and feel like is none of my business. I really don’t want to know anything about the sexual lives of most of my acquaintances, gay or not.
Too many concessions to basic freedoms are being made in the name of “safety.” Everyone shouldn’t suffer because of a few bad/crazy people.
