What are your SDMB avatars?

Mine appears to be a hippo.

Mine is my handcycle.

I’d love to have an avatar. I even have one picked out but I have no idea how to get it down to 50x50 pixels.

Go to PicResize. Easy to use. If I can do it most 3rd graders could do it. Seriously simple.

Mine is a singularly succulent Dungeness crab I cooked a few years ago. He was delicious.

It seemed an appropriate choice.

Mine is the symbol of the Rebel Alliance from the Star Wars movies. You can see it on Luke’s flight helmet during the space battle at the end of the original film, though it also appears here and there in several of the movies.

The only issue is that if you try to resize a large pic down to the required size it can get seriously pixelated/distorted.

A Steelers helmet?

That is a picture of an Easter Bunny, (Lepus Californicus Sithae). Specifically one Darth Desserticola, inhabiting the upper left corner of my posts. Sometimes He is my alter ego, sometimes not, the difference can be subtle.

Mine is from a quick (REALLY QUICK) self-portrait I drew a couple of years ago. It was a full body drawing and I cropped it down.

Have you ever thought about choosing an avatar, Northern Piper? A piper in a parka, maybe?

Mine’s a stock photo.

Mine is an Eye of Horus with a Pupil of Love, rendered in Egyptian cyan.

Mine is a microscope picture of the first organic gears found in nature.

Mine is an hourglass. I have, on occasion, on other forums used a cartoonish self-portrait of myself holding said hourglass, in front of a whiteboard of equations, but the small avatar size here seemed better suited to a simple symbol, rather than an entire portrait.

Mine is The Monster In the Darkness from the webcomic Order of the Stick.

Although The MitD is supposed to be the ultimate weapon at the disposal of the lich Xykon, he is terrified of practically everything, including the dark. By all accounts, it isn’t really that vicious, possibly due to so much time in the shadows waiting for its grand entrance. Rather, it is timid, has low self-esteem, is prone to inane observations, displays innocence and childish behavior, seems to suffer from nyctophobia and appears to be completely oblivious about most things around it.
Seemed to fit.

It’s the lowest two tuners on the head of a Fender Precision Bass.

The E-string has a Hipshot Bass Xtender lever on it: one flip and I now have a low D.

There is no image that goes with my decades old user name, so I chose the ship from Galaga, my favorite game back in the 80’s.

None of the current Google results for projammer is even remotely related to the origin of my handle.
