My avatar is the Palais des congrès, a convention centre in my town, renowned for its colourful stained-glass look.
A hobyah. Not a lot of people are familiar with the tale, but it’s been scaring the pee out of kids in my family for generations. My daughter talked me into getting matching tattoos, and my avatar is from mine.
My picture is of my dearly missed little buddy Goliath.
All so interesting! I remember recognizing **Shoeless’s **the first time I saw it but I never would have recognized, for instance, Jorma or Peter Gabriel due to the size. I wish we could click on them and see the full size versions 
Mine, which is fairly obvious by now, is Eddie Murphy doing an impression of Buckwheat on SNL.

Me as a baby. The eyes are red because I was user # 666 at another forum, one which did allow avatars (this was 2005, guys and gals), so I colored them red.
I always think of this kind of loach.

It’s an axe. I have plenty of other cool images I use in other places, but that’s about all I could hope to fit in 50x50.
- One avatar I’ve seen here appears to be a man (face obscured), molesting a marionette.
That one was BPC, who was later banned, so I’m guessing we can’t see the avatar anymore.
2) Someone else has a user name that must be something to do with video games, or anime, but when I looked it up, this is all I got…“Yet another French tosser. Thinks he’s funny. Isn’t.”
The avatar is an androgynous-looking anime/cartoon cat. I can’t remember the name now, but I’m going to look.
Thanks Colibri, and everyone posting, some names and avatars are lost on me, and so many of the avatars are too tiny to see very well.
I haven’t seen a labrys like that since the '70s.
Howard the Duck in a classic pose I always liked; rushing the viewer, cigar in the corner of his mouth, hand outstretched to grab someone by the throat. In terms of personal art, I like Big Daddy’s “rat stuff” better overall. But whoever did it that one picture of Howard just always reached me — trapped in a world he never made.
