anyone planning any big stuff for this summer?
I just started a new job last march and I don’t get any vacation time until next year.
My plans for this summer? Sweat! (Hey! It gets pretty hot here in New Mexico. High temp was over 100 and the air temp this evening around 11:00 pm was nearly 80°!)

I’m just movin across country ;).
I’m gonna be building sets and teching for “Fiddler on the Roof” and hopefully finding a source of income.
And I second the “sweating” thing… although I usually sweat year-round, even in the winter (I’ve got a couple extra layers of natural insulation, you see).
Cooking School keeps that sweat a’drippin’… I PROMISE it won’t get in the food, though… (ewww)
Just wrap me in sweatbands for the next 3 months.
What Summer?
Since I belong to the working class, I pretty much don’t get a summer.

Since I work in an office building, and work full-time, I pretty much don’t get a summer.
The closest I come is buying a keg of beer and barbequeing!

“Horses sweat. Men perspire. Ladies glow.” So I hope to be glowing this summer, as I love a good heat wave (some, indeed, like it hot).
I’m off for a week in the Great Northwest in July—Seattle, the Cascade Mountains, British Columbia. I’ve never been to that area, and am looking forward to seeing more scenery than I can shake a stick at (I am not even bothering to take a stick with me).
My best friend is moving to New Orleans next week (gosh I’m going to miss him!), so I will go visit him for a week in October and raise seven kinds of hell.
hopefully some sweat,
perhaps a visit to Alaska,
in 3 weeks, a definite visit to Arizona,
with a small visit to San Diego,
an end of the summer visit to Israel,
and all the days in between i’ll be catching some rays,
hitting the rocks and dancing some capoeira away…
and most hopefully, taking my relationship with my girlfriend to a whole new level…
hopefully…
if all else fails, i should conquer the universe by the end of August at least…
I’ll, ahem, be helping…
And, in addendum:
Lots of camping (Beer drinking), barbecues (More beer drinking! ;)), amusement parks, bicycling, another Doper fest (Incredulous beer drinking! ;)) later in the summer, etc…
My kids will be out for the whole month of July, woo hoo!
Also, my situation at work just changed, so I’ll be working four ten hour days, leaving me with three day weekends all summer long! Yippee!!!
W-O-M-E-N!
I will probably end up doing more watching than chasing or catching, but hey, it’s all good
After I get through the damn boards (one week from today), I’m off until the dreaded Third Year begins in August. Until then, I am going to avoid medicine as studiously as possible.
I have a week in Key West planned, as well as a week on the Phish tour (Deer Creek->Polaris). I’m planning to visit some friends in Ithaca, NY and in Nashville. I’m also planning on getting my magic act back in shape, and maybe getting some gigs or doing some street hustling.
Other than that, I plan to do a lot of beer-drinking, meat-grilling, and ass-sitting.
