Howdy all my make believe intartoobz friends from the church house! Corned beast is sliced, veggies peeled and chopped and the beast stew is on and cookin’. I’ve only had to threaten one person with a big spoon beatin’ if the cover of those two cookers for the stew are lifted. It’s stewin’ away and needs to be left alone. I did. I said, “You lift that cover and I’ll beat you with this big ol’ spoon in my hand!”
One minor plumbin’ problem is gettin’ fixed. Seems we have a little leakage underneath the steam table which can be fixed by replacin’ one joint. So other than that it’s just hang out and let stuff cook time.
Posting from iPod because I’m uploading a whole mess of pics and that’s taking up lots of power on my little iBook. Yeah, I figured there probably wasn’t a big rush. I’m planning to start a summer sweater soon, but after that I’ll be starting a Vaal/winter one that I’ll take my time with.
Today is errands day - dry cleaning, grocery, look for a new hall mirror at the new Homegoods store here in town, go look at bathroom tile for the little bathroom remodel we are doing, make lasagne plus laundry one load jeans already washed dried and ready to be pulled out of the dryer to fold, comforter off our bed is washed ready to put in the dryer then the sheets will get washed. Last night I scrubbed the kitchen, dusted and polished the wood stuff, Mr ems mopped the kitchen floor and I have the shower doors sprayed with white vinegar to assist with the hard water stain removal. Busy day.
Oh and as of yesterdays weigh in 28 lbs down (I gained 4 last week with lots of work travel and eating out etc but this week I lost those 4 plus another 2.5!)
I have been a negligent Mumper this week, but am not going to even pretend that I’m going to try and catch up reading all this.
It’s purty out here today, sunny, calm…windows open. Cuervo and Bear have established their window territory so they’re not fighting. Cuervo won, he got the window with the sun, and the geese.
Break time again! We loaded all the leaves and branches onto the trailer, then daughter and I hauled it all to the dump for mulching. Then we ran by the store so I could get sloppy joe fixin’s for supper. It’s all simmering on the stove right now.
My poor arms are all cut up from sharp branches, plus I had a blister that burst, so there’s a painful spot on my left thumb. I’m too old for this crap!
I think I’m done with manual labor for the day. Time to assume the afghan-making position.

Really want italicize that, buy can’t figure out how to do that on the iPod.

As you type, you can hand-code the HTML.
Just type {i} in front of what you want tilted, and {/i} on the back side to return to normal type. It will look {i}like this{/i} (Replace the curly braces with the square brackets on the same key.)
You can also bold and underline with {b} and {u} respectively. Just remember to add the corresponding {/ } tag to stop it or every so often, the board will go wonky and an entire thread will be italicized or whatever because someone forgot it.

Baby and young poisonous snakes can be (sometimes) more dangerous than the adults. When a baby hits/bites you it tends to blow all its poison through the fangs; adults will often release more in “doses” depending on how threatening or tasty it perceives you to be.

I have heard this before and have no desire to test it.
Jewish Mumpers, a question: There was a Passover display at the grocery store this afternoon (yay, latke mix will go on sale soon!) It had all the usual matzos, kugel, and suchlike and also marshmallows. What are the marshmallows for?
Cool! I’ve bookmarked the page for later listening.
Have I told y’all my Blue Ridge Parkway snake story? Right after I moved to Hippy Hollow, I was driving south down the Parkway, just enjoying a drive. I pulled over at an overlook and decided to take a short hike. I walked a little way down the trail, probably about ten feet, and I looked down at the ground. My foot was raised and right underneath was a youngish looking copperhead, curled up asleep in the shade of a plant. I slowly retreated, went back to my car, and continued going down the Parkway.
Apparently, I’ve gotten lazy in my old age. Thanks for the reminder.
I’m up to December pictures. Wow, I took a bunch last year! I’m thinking that I’m quite close to 2Gb of pics that hadn’t been uploaded to flickr. And that’s only pics since mid-September.
I’ve cleaned off my dresser and gone to the grocery store and am about to go outside to do a bit of gardening. It’s a bit chilly out there, but I’m sure it will be fine once I get moving.
marshmallows? maybe for making meringue cookies? since there’s no leavening involved, that would be my first guess. Baked yams/sweet potatoes is my second guess

Productive day. Movies tonight - Limitless (Yum Bradley Cooper - my kind of dirty :D)
Da bear is at da cave and declares the celebration a success. Ok, all the food got gone. I have no idea money wise but food wise, a success. I fully believe my dearly departed cohort in stew makin’, Ron, smiled down upon it. I got lots of raves re the “St. Patrick’s It’s Irish Because We Say So Stew”.
I’s tahrd and goin’ beddy bye. I have a promised back rub to cash in on, so I shall.
I hope everyone was able to see the super-moon last night and/or this morning. It was amazingly bright and beautiful here over southern Merrylande! I can still see it thru the tree trunks, but it’s getting low on the horizon.
Scruffy slept till 6, so I did too. I was having weird dreams all night, none of which I remember, but I awoke with somewhat disquieting feelings. On the other hand, I’ve had 3 good sleeps in a row, which is amazing!!
Today’s plans definitely include laundry. Beyond that, who knows?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 57 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 82 today. Oh and pollen everywhere.
When I first saw the story about the supermoon, I read it as there would be a supermom this weekend. Supermom, able to bake cookies faster than a speeding bullet!
Rebo you can eat my share of lobster. I’m not a big fan of lobster. It has a weird taste/texture thing goin’ on.
Ok, need more caffiene and to figure out brekkie for rumbly tummy. It be growlin’ at me.
