What did I see on TV the other night?

So last Saturday night, I took my wife and daughter to Claim Jumper for dinner. Because we didn’t call in advance (and it was Saturday) there was a really long wait for a table. Fortunately, a table cleared out in the saloon area, and we were able to snag it.

This is how I came to be looking at a television with a non-Dodgers baseball game on it (it was over the bar). The game looked like the Cincinnati Reds were playing, and the graphics showing scores and stuff like that indicated “CIN” and “MIL.” This would normally have led me to think that I was seeing the Reds and the Milwaukee Brewers.

But the name on the front of the Milwaukee players’ uniforms said “BEARS.”

WTF? TIA.

The Brewers were wearing throwback uniforms of the Milwaukee Bears, a one season Negro league team.

According to Wiki the Brewers have been wearing the throwbacks occasionally since 2006 with several variations. I hadn’t seen them before but thought they looked good. The Reds also appeared to be in throwback type unis, but those still said Cincinnati.
