What did you have for breakfast this morning?

Espresso, bowl of grapes, B12 tablet.

Wholemeal toast with margarine and Bovril.

Same as every other morning. I slum it with Marmite if I am out of Bovril.

Egg and bacon on toast. Homemade.

Taco salad

Large coffee and peanut butter on whole wheat sandwich. No jelly.

Breakfast burritos! Scrambled eggs with cream cheese and Mexican oregano; bacon seasoned with chili spices; cilantro; dollop of sour cream and a splash or three of Tapatio.

Two Morningstar Farms veggie patties
1/2 cup dry oatmeal + 1/4 cup dried fruit + 1 cup water; microwaved
8 oz of orange juice + 1 tb flaxseed oil + 8 oz water + 1.5 servings of vanilla protein powder; blended

Delicious!

A fun size Snickers, leftover Chicken and Dumplings and a coffee.

Sounds wonderful.

But what I don’t understand is where y’all get the time for this. It is literally all I can do to get my fat ass out of bed, shower, dress and drive to the office in time to be vaguely prompt. It sounds like a lot of these breakfasts are 45 minute to an hour including prep and cleaning up.

Milk, diet soda, and a leftover pork chop.

Two eggs scrambled soft in butter, seasoned with Badia adobo, two slices multigrain toast buttered, three Jimmy Dean turkey breakfast sausages and coffee with Splenda and half and half. So I’m conflicted.

I start every morning with a protein drink.

1 handful of granola and a skim mocha.

whole wheat toast w/ cheeze wiz, probiotic yogurt, mini wheats, grapefruit. That keeps me full until 2pm.

I usually decide the night before what I think I’ll be craving for breakfast before work if its something that takes more time like french toast, bacon, sausage etc. I’ll get up a little earlier. Nothing like a good nights sleep and a great breakfast.

I’ve gotten really lucky with my job, and my hours are really flexible. Since I’ve been able to slide my shift to later in the day, I actually get up a couple hours before I need to be at work these days. Back when I had to be rigidly on time, early, like by 8am or sometimes 7am, it was all I could do to give myself 20 minutes to get up and out the door. I like things much better the way they are now!

And this morning: 4 morningstar breakfast sausages with a spoonful of real maple syrup, a banana, and a soy latte.

Followed soon after by nice walk and a huge Ballot!

Retired.

Leftover Chinese: chicken fried rice and chicken & broccoli, with coke cherry zero

A Fiber One bar – chocolate peanut butter and some grape juice. (I think. It might have been just chocolate chip).
I can’t eat really heavy first thing when I get up. I have to save the traditional breakfast stuff (bacon, eggs, etc) for a brunch type thing.

I’m in this boat, too (although I don’t think my ass is fat, per se…) I eat breakfast at work, and I eat the same thing every day. 4 AkMak crackers and some Trader Joe’s natural, chunky, unsalted peanut butter. I’ve tried a different brand of peanut butter (yuk) and sometimes have run out of crackers and had to substitute wheat pretzels (sad, but still good) but this is my preferred breakfast 7 days/week.

Yesterday, though, I had oral surgery. No way can I eat crunchy crackers and sticky peanut butter. I’m starving, and I know we have steel-cut oats, which I love, but doing something different is not in my nature and I’m kind of grumpy about it.

A bowl of oat bran with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla (microwaved for 1m30s). Coffee (ground and brewed by husband).
