What is your go-to, quick breakfast?

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this kind of thread before, but I couldn’t find one that was recent, so here’s another one.

For many years I ate cereal almost every day – usually Life, Cheerios, Grape Nuts, or plain Corn Flakes, with whole milk and a glass of OJ. Recently I’ve changed to 2 small corn tortillas with refried beans and salsa and sometimes one fried egg (for health reasons). I got a cute little 1.5 cup saucepan just for refried beans  Now my OJ is 50% watered down to try and cut down on sugar.

What’s yours?

Hot Pockets

I generally do not eat eggs, grits, pancakes etc
I eat normal food for my first meal of the day
If I am in a hurry it is a Hot Pocket

A large coffee with cream and cinnamon. A yogurt or a banana if I’m hungry, but that rarely happens before lunchtime (being hungry, that is).

If I need to be out the door in five or so minutes, it’s either scrambled eggs or Fiber One.

I can’t eat cereal, toast, or fruit at breakfast, or I’ll be starving by 10:00. I’ve been eating a bowl full of some combination of beans, mashed squash, and fried egg most mornings. If there are dinner leftovers (meat and veg) I’ll have those.

Fitmiss Chocolate protein (I like the taste), blended with coffee, coconut oil and almond milk.

Buttered toast, a banana and coffee. I ate that for years when I was working.

A banana and a 300ml box of UHT soy milk. Oh, and coffee. Lots of coffee.

Cheese sandwich and a cup of tea. My go-to breakfast for nearly 45 years now.

Depends a bit on the season, but one of these:

  • 1/2 c. Greek yogurt, usually flavored, topped with 1 c. berries or other fruit and 1/4 c. granola
  • overnight oatmeal - I especially like the mango / almond version

Miso soup.

Snickers and a coke.

Levothyroxine

We used to get Market Day turkey sausages and a couple of those with a glass of OJ was good for me. Our don’t school doesn’t do MD for a fundraiser any more so I’m out on that front. We did try some Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage once and they were decent.

I can’t eat food when I first wake up. Civilized people eat breakfast at 10:00 am. I am (semi) civilized, so I do the same. Since that means eating it at work on weekdays, I have a piece of whole grain toast, a piece of fruit and a cup of tea.

On weekends, though, I do a sort of brunch and have eggs with my toast, fruit, and tea.

Porridge made with water and a pinch of salt.

Och aye!

The Breakfast of Champions, a bottle of Pepsi and Hostess cupcakes.

My go-to breakfast is a one-egg omelette with cheese (preferably etorki, but swiss is good). Takes about five minutes ot cook.

If I’m rushed, I usually have some Jimmy Dean biscuits with bacon and cheese. Or just a bowl of cereal.

If I’m bad, a donut and coffee. If I’m good greek yogurt with berries and coffee.

Either cheerios and milk, or a banana muffin out of the freezer.
