Me, I had a fat-free toasted english muffin with peanut butter, and a cup of tea. This is my usual breakfast at home, with few variations. Sometimes it’ll be cheese instead of peanut butter, and sometimes I’ll throw in a piece of fruit as well.
My favourite breakfast is Eggs Benedict. I don’t know if I could still handle the rich sauce after dieting for so long, but I could probably eat a half-order. More likely when I go out for breakfast or make it at home, it’s pancakes.
My husband does not have an appreciation for breakfast foods; he likes hash browns, but not much else. He usually doesn’t eat until lunchtime.
What did you have today for breakfast, is that your usual, and what’s your very favourite breakfast?
Mods: I put this in IMHO as it is a poll. If you feel it needs to go to Cafe Society, please move it.
I had two bacon, egg and cheese Lean Pocket sandwiches (total 14g of protein) and a cup of no-sugar-added chocolate milk, for an additional 11g of protein.
Since my surgery, I haven’t settled into a “usual” breakfast. Whatever has a decent amount of protein and sounds appealing is what I usually go with.
I used to do whole-grain cereal with 2% milk every morning, but it has lots of carbs, with little protein return.
Hehehehe - Before I start I’d like to say I didn’t eat like this before I was pregnant!
1 x crispy bacon roll with ketchup
1 x pint glass of fresh orange juice
1 large bottle of San Pelligrino water
1 large dish of raw chopped tomatoes, onions & green beans with balsamic vinegar
1 large chopped mango
[ul]
[li]a cup of raisin bran cereal with soy milk,[/li][li]an ear of raw corn,[/li][li]a bowl of romaine lettuce with fat-free Italian dressing.[/ul][/li]
My breakfast choices are too varied to call anything “my usual”, but I do have some favorites that keep reappearing in my food diary, including hot chocolate, cold cereal, fresh fruit, whole-wheat toast, and oatmeal with strawberry preserves.
2 tomatoes from the garden, sliced up with pepper and garlic salt
and a handfull of squeeky fresh cheese curds.
This is the base of what I eat all summer long, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I mix in olives avacados, triscuits or salami depending on my mood and what’s in the house.
I haven’t had breakfast yet, but it will be two eggs fried over-hard with two pieces of toast (margarine and blackberry preserves), some vanilla yogurt, and a tall glass of OJ. Right now I’m drinking my coffee, and wishing for a smoke (after reading about all of you smokers enjoying the Breakfast of Champions).
My husband and I had some early morning errands, so we stopped at Starbucks on the way. I had a medium latte and one of those big sugar cookies with the M&Ms for breakfast.
a banana, snapea crisps, and a couple of hob nobs.
i haven’t settled into a regular breakfast since i started doing contract work. i have to wait an hour before eating after i take some medicine in the morning, which complicates things.
favorites ? porridge, home made waffles, blueberry pancakes …
