What do Trump's supporters want him to do if elected?

I hope not. If there is that means Trump already won, since Thanksgiving is after the election.

But immediately after the election, so even with a Hillary win there could be some hot discussions.

IT’S YUGE! It’s the best schlong. The BEST.

Pronounced “SORE-ee,” of course.

I want him to enact public works projects, deregulate all but the commercial banking industry, stop illegal immigration in all its forms, and repeal Obamacare. I have plenty of others, like stopping the war on drugs, ending the majority of entitlement programs, but I’d settle for the aforementioned.

Most of all I want him to stop the unconstitutional policy suggestions and divisive rhetoric (e.g. stopping the legal immigration of Muslims/insulting Mexicans.)

One can still fight political correctness without resorting to ad hominem, though I’m not sure if he can.

Look, your original question was what do Trump supporters want to do about Muslims. What is difficult or fuzzy about this?

Just take your list and put it in order of severity, from most to least.

I would say killing them all is most severe and stopping US aid to any countries that have large Muslim populations is least severe. And if you asked me what is the least they will be satisfied by, it would be his own most recent hybrid version of

  • Stop all immigration from Muslim countries
  • Stop all immigration by people who are Muslims.

Which is to make a list of countries and ban immigration from them. Cause you can put Mexico on it too.

Yeah, better carve the turkey in the kitchen. I don’t think you want any big knives at the table.

Plenty of people will vote for/support him whilst disagreeing vehemently with that particular initiative.

I wouldn’t say voting for him indicates much vehemence.

It’s fairly easy if you disagree (however passionately) with two or three things one candidate says compared to dozens from the other.

I think this distinction will be the reason the majority of moderate republicans tow the line, but turnout is lower than expected/necessary.

The assumption that we’d continue to have elections after Trump gets in, might be overly optimistic.

I am not a Trump supporter, but if he were to be elected I want him to do exactly the same thing as I want Clinton to do if she is elected. As little as possible. The less the better.

So just let Pence run things then? Whatever he wants?

No - I want the executive branch of the government to do as little as possible. If a person said they would veto every single thing categorically no matter what, I’d be fine with that.

Ah, well then, enjoy the local Warlords in your future Libertopia then.

Obama got one thing done through Congress - Obamacare. Everything else that’s happened since has been through Executive Orders, or in the courts.

Here’s the thing, most of Trump’s promises are empty because they can’t be accomplished by Executive Order. So they go nowhere unless repubs either get 60 in the Senate or change the rules, which could happen. If the Senate changes the rules, they could jam through all their social issues shit while having a deal with Trump that he’ll sign them as long as they also fund some of his nationalist shit.

Absent the rules change, if Trump wins, it’s just more of nothing gets done, Dems will block everything. Which means Trump supporters just get worse.

If Hilary wins, we are going to have a constitutional showdown at some point, probably early. Virtually all of the bullshit the red state legislatures have tried has gotten shot down in the courts. Some red state governor is gonna make a stand and defy a federal court order, and you’re gonna have a Wallace standing in the schoolhouse door situation.

The Trump fans I’ve talked to don’t have high expectations of actual accomplishments. But they all look forward to seeing liberal heads explode. That’s the important thing Trump can do.
